NEEDLESS WORRY… ASK A DUMB QUESTION?

By Wade Martin Hughes, Sr. Kyfingers@aol.com (YouTube: Wade Hughes)

THE CROSS IS THE END OF THE BEGINNING… THEN THE CROSS ESTABLISHES THE BEGINNING OF THE END…

Our concerns, doubts, fears, worry, anxiety --- can cause physical and spiritual agitation … and upset and hinder our progress and growth. WORRY HAS NO PROFIT OR NO POSITIVE BENEFITS… Worry is a lack of TRUST and FAITH. FEAR, ANXIETY WILL ALWAYS HINDER SPIRITUAL PROGRESS.

TEXT:

Mark 16:3 And they said among themselves, Who shall roll us away the stone from the door of the sepulchre?

LET US TAKE NO CHANCES OF A FAKE ACTION. THE RELIGIOUS LEADERS FEARED A FAKE RESURRECTION… THEY THOUGHT SOMEONE WOULD TRY TO STEAL GOD’S SON’S BODY FROM THE GRAVE…

THESE RELIGIOUS LEADERS ASKED THE ROMANS TO STOP SUCH A DECEITFUL ACTION…

Matthew 27:63 Saying, Sir, we remember that that deceiver said, while he was yet alive, After three days I will rise again. 64 Command therefore that the sepulchre be made sure until the third day, lest his disciples come by night, and steal him away, and say unto the people, He is risen from the dead: so the last error shall be worse than the first. 65 Pilate said unto them, Ye have a watch: go your way, make it as sure as ye can.

WHO WILL? WE CAN’T? WE CAN’T DO IT? WHO WILL?

THERE IS A DISCUSSION BY 3 WOMEN AS THEY WALKED ON THE THIRD DAY AFTER THE CRUCIFIXION AND DEATH OF CHRIST JESUS… THESE THREE WOMEN KNEW THEY COULD NOT MOVE THE STONE AWAY…

THE STONE USED TO CLOSE A GRAVE SITE WEIGHED TONS AND COULD NOT BE MOVED BY ONE MAN. IT WOULD REQUIRE MANY STRONG MEN … Not only this THERE WERE GUARDS ASSIGNED TO SECURE THE GRAVE SITE.

ALL THEIR DISCUSSION? ALL THE NEGATIVITY? ALL THE SELF DOUBT? ALL THE WE CAN’TS? WAS NEEDLESS WORRY… GOD’S PLAN WAS ALREADY AT WORK… WHAT DID THE THREE WOMEN FIND?

Luke 24:1 Now upon the first day of the week, very early in the morning, they came unto the sepulchre, bringing the spices which they had prepared, and certain others with them. 2 And they found the stone rolled away from the sepulchre. 3 And they entered in, and found not the body of the Lord Jesus. 4 And it came to pass, as they were much perplexed thereabout, behold, two men stood by them in shining garments: 5 And as they were afraid, and bowed down their faces to the earth, they said unto them, Why seek ye the living among the dead? 6 He is not here, but is risen: remember how he spake unto you when he was yet in Galilee,

JOSEPH OF ARIMATHEA LOANED HIS PERSONAL GRAVE--- THE STONE MADE ACCESS TO THE TOMB IMPOSSIBLE… THERE WAS NOT A DOOR WHICH WOULD HAVE ALLOWED ACCESS.

THE STONE AT THE MOUTH OF THE GRAVE IS SYMBOLIC OF OUR SINS… WHEN THE STONE WAS ROLLED AWAY IT SPEAKS MORE THAN JUST THE RESURRECTION… IT SPEAKS OF JESUS OVERRIDING SIN… THE GUILT AND SHAME THAT TRAPS PEOPLE HAS BEEN CONQUERED… THE STONE ROLLED AWAY GRANTS ACCESS THAT WILL SET US FREE FROM SIN AND BUILD A BRIDGE TO GRANT PERMANENT ACCESS TO THE HOLY OF HOLIES.

RECALL THE STORY OF THE FIRST STONE…

John 8:7 So when they continued asking him, he lifted up himself, and said unto them, He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her.

Remember the lesson of the rock… when the woman was caught in the very act of adultery? First off, where is the man… He who is perfect can cast the first stone… THE REMOVAL OF THE POSSIBILITY OF THE ROCK BEING CAST…

NEEDLESS, HOPELESS WORRY AND ANXIETY?

Matthew 28:2 And, behold, there was a great earthquake: for the angel of the Lord descended from heaven, and came and rolled back the stone from the door, and sat upon it. 3 His countenance was like lightning, and his raiment white as snow: 4 And for fear of him the keepers did shake, and became as dead men.

THE GUARDS WERE TERRIBLY AFRAID… THEY SHOOK AND BECAME LIKE DEAD MEN. My friends we don’t need to worry it is already taken care of…

MY OPINION? I BELIEVE JESUS HAD THE POWER THAT HE COULD HAVE ROLLED THE STONE AWAY BY HIMSELF. THEN PEOPLE WOULD HAVE CALLED IT A JAIL BREAK?

I BELIEVE JESUS COULD HAVE WALKED THROUGH THE STONE WALL… HE DID IN ACTS…

John 20:19 Then the same day at evening, being the first day of the week, when the doors were shut where the disciples were assembled for fear of the Jews, came Jesus and stood in the midst, and saith unto them, Peace be unto you.
