Narnia: Sons Of Adam And Daughters Of Eve Series
Contributed by Randy Christensen on Nov 25, 2005 (message contributor)
Summary: Just as Aslan used 4 children to accomplish great exploits in Narnia, God desires to use children to accomplish His agenda here and now.
Narnia intro: There is a story about hope…
…there was a land that existed where a horrible evil ruler had come and taken over the land…
…actually, this ruler had been brought into the land by a person who had been selfish and disobedient…
…many of those that lived in the land had lost ALL hope…it was dreary, cold, lifeless…
…but, there had been a prophecy that when 2 sons of Adam and 2 daughters of Eve sit on the thrones at Cair Paravel…that things would be set straight…
Well, the only hope was found through the courage of these four and through the help of the Creator of Narnia… …and his name was Aslan
So starts the story of “LW& W” …
Let me tell you about four children. Last name Pevensie… (see info. from tract from American Tract Society)
Lucy, Susan, Edmund, Peter
1. The challenge:
Some look and say, “How can four small children be used to conquer the White Witch? Her awesome power has wintered Narnia for 100 years!”
They did not just do it with their own strength. They called on the strength of Aslan.
2. Christ gives strength
Who do you call on when you feel weak? JESUS
Joel 3:9 Beat your plowshares into swords and your pruning hooks into spears. Let the weakling say, "I am strong!"
You can have strength to do what needs to be done.
teach scripture: “I can do everything through Christ who strengthens me.” Philippians 4:13

3. Believe that God can use children!
a. If I was going to pick someone to defeat a witch, etc., it would probably be the marines, or Arnold Schwartznegger, etc.
b. if you were going to pick one of the four to LEAD…who would it be?
c. Lucy was the one that ended up being the first in…(She was the youngest, the least experienced, the weakest)
d. Consider the story of the Feeding of the 5,000
(See John 6:1-13)
- they searched and Andrew found a boy who would give
- through this boy’s willingness, all were blessed
e. Testimonies of how/when God used children to bless others
Conclusion: The four Pevensies came in not knowing what may happen…but they became warriors. They had courage…especially once they had spent time with Aslan.
God will do great things through you too! Believe it! He will give you strength. …don’t think that you have to wait to become an adult to worship Him, …to minister to others, …to pray, to bless others, etc.
God may want to use each child as he used the boy with 5 loaves and 2 fish ...as Aslan used the 2 sons of Adam and the 2 daughters of Eve...
--prayer-- Dear Jesus, use each one of us for great things for your glory!
