Edmund’s selfish choices enslaved him to the White Witch. He could only be set free by the Lion’s sacrifice, and a personal encounter with Aslan.

Edmund displays the innate selfishness that we all have and reaps the negative consequences that results from a life of greed.

Just as Aslan used 4 children to accomplish great exploits in Narnia, God desires to use children to accomplish His agenda here and now.
