My God Can Do Anything.

Summary: What happened to our faith?
My God can do anything!!!!
You believe that?
Intro: What happened to Christians?
1: 95% of Christians never share their faith
a) Of the 5% that do 80% are new converts
b) So what happened?
c) Did we decide that we got enough members of our church
d) Is there some quota we’ve achieved
Point: I believe it’s called the Great Commission not the Great Suggestion. Not to be cruel or disrespectful, but the status quo and trend is shocking and sad. Lost people need Jesus Christ, they need the Gospel, they need you and I too tell them all about it.
2: Is evangelism only for evangelist?
a) No
b) We may want it to be, but it’s ever Christian’s duty.
c) Many just want to come to church
d) Enjoy the service
e) Put a little in the plate
f) And go on with there normal lives
Point: Evangelism is going to them, it’s seeking them out, and it’s searching for the lost, teaching them.
Body: Teaching them what?
1: Matt 28:18
a) All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.
b) My God can do anything.
c) How do we teach them?
Point: Jesus told his disciples right before he gave them the Great Commission that he had all the power they would ever need to carry out the task at hand. It was never the Christians duty to provide the power for the task at hand; we’re too fragile and weak.
2: Rev 1:3
a) Blessed- happy, blissful, receiving God’s favor
b) Those that read and those that hear
c) Not just sitting and listening
d) Keep those things which are written
e) Remember, study, search and seek in the word
Point: The time is at hand, people are filling their lives with temporary things. Searching for eternity in the temporary; driven by feeling and emotion always coming up short and wondering why they can never achieve peace and content. How do we help them?
3: Action speaks louder than words
a) We have to live for Christ
b) Truly live for him
c) Truly love him
d) Read our Bibles, study them with passion
e) Ask God to show his power
Point: Elijah the prophet simply asked God to let it be known that thou art God this day. 1 Kings 18:36. What happened? God showed up and fire fell from heaven. God has all the power, Jesus saves the sinner, Jesus heals the broken hearted, and Jesus makes light shine out of darkness. We just have to let it be known. By our faith in action, our lives sold out to him.
Closing: What do you believe today?
Rev 3: 7 he opens no man can close, he closes no man can open
Has God opened a door for you?
What is opportunity? It’s a chance that offers advantage.
My God can do anything!!!
He gave me an opportunity to know his Son the Lord Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.
What has God given you?
Have you told anyone about it?
Rev 3:20 Jesus says I stand at the door and knock: if any man hears my voice, and opens the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.
