More Implications Of Grace Series

Summary: When a person applies law to their own life, it is called “personal conviction”; when they apply their own “personal conviction” to OTHERS, it is called “legalism.”
b. Even so consider yourselves to be dead to sin, but alive to God in Christ Jesus. (Romans 6:11 NASB)
II. Do Not Abuse Your Freedom
a. What shall we say then? Are we to continue in sin so that grace may increase? (Romans 6:1 NASB)
b. What then? Shall we sin because we are not under law but under grace? May it never be! (Romans 6:15 NASB)
c. Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal body so that you obey its lusts, and do not go on presenting the members of your body to sin as instruments of unrighteousness; but present yourselves to God as those alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness to God. (Romans 6:12-13 NASB)
III. Walk by the Spirit
a. But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not carry out the desire of the flesh. (Galatians 5:16 NASB)
b. If we live by the Spirit, let us also walk by the Spirit. (Galatians 5:25 NASB)
