Know Your Creator

Isaiah 40:25-31

Intro.

There is not other God like our God. Vs. 28

He has not equal. Vs. 25

He is the Creator. Vs. 26

I. He is perpetual. Vs. 28

A. The everlasting God.

1. He has no beginning

2. He has no ending

B. This is hard for us to understand with our finite minds.

1. We understand a beginning.

a. Like when we were born.

b. When a house is built. (Senior Center)

c. The beginning of the world in Genesis

2. We understand an ending.

a. Death. (Funerals)

b. Demolition (Old Bingo Hall)

c. The end one the world in Revelation

Rev. 21:1 ¶ And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth

were passed away; and there was no more sea.

3. It’s hard to comprehend no beginning for ending.

II. He is powerful. Vs. 26b

“he is strong in power”

A. ALL - powerful.

B. There is nothing impossible with God

C. All things are possible with God.

D. He created everything with just a word.

“and God said…

Psa. 62:11 God hath spoken once; twice have I heard this; that power belongeth unto God.

III. He is perfect

Matt. 5:48 Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.

A. There is no flaw or error in him.

B. His work is perfect

C. He Word if perfect

D. His way if perfect.

2 Samuel 22:31 “As for God, his way if perfect”

E. His judgments are perfect.

F. He is perfect in every way

IV. He is paternal - Fatherly.

A. He wants to be your Heavenly Father.

B. The old testament relationship - I will be your God

and you shall be by people”

C. The New Testament relationship is that of a Father

and child.

John 1:11-12 “He came unto his own, and his own received him not. But as many as received him, to

them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:”

1. We are not his children by creation.

2. We were alienated in when Adam sinned in the Garden of Eden.

D. God want to be your Father.

1. He love you.

1 John 3:1 “Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should

be called the sons of God: therefore the world

2. He cares about you

1Pet. 5:7 Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.

3. He will provide for you.

E. You can only become a child of God by being born into His family.

1. Jesus told Nicodemus. “Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.”

2. You can only be born again by faith.

John 1:12b :” even to them that believe on his name:”

Conclusion:

The Creator is From everlasting to Everlasting.

The Creator is All-powerful

The Creator is Perfect in every way

The Creator wants to be your Heavenly Father.
