LOVE LETTERS IN THE SAND
John 8:1Jesus went unto the mount of Olives.
2And early in the morning he came again into the temple, and all the people came unto him; and he sat down, and taught them.
3And the scribes and Pharisees brought unto him a woman taken in adultery; and when they had set her in the midst,
4They say unto him, Master, this woman was taken in adultery, in the very act.
5Now Moses in the law commanded us, that such should be stoned: but what sayest thou?
6This they said, tempting him, that they might have to accuse him. But Jesus stooped down, and with his finger wrote on the ground, as though he heard them not.
7So when they continued asking him, he lifted up himself, and said unto them, He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her.
8And again he stooped down, and wrote on the ground.
Jesus was teaching in the temple there were a number of people listing to him .
The scribes and Pharisees interrupted him in order to temp him as they did many
Times.
1. Accusers
3And the scribes and Pharisees brought unto him a woman taken in adultery; and when they had set her in the midst,
4They say unto him, Master, this woman was taken in adultery, in the very act.
We have and adultery
Caught in the very act
She broke the law of Moses
The law say’s she should be put to death
What do you say
We need to stone her to death
2. The temptation
6This they said, tempting him, that they might have to accuse him.
Trying to temp Jesus in to saying what they needed to do
Wanting him to pass judgment on her to clean their hands
Trying to pressure Jesus for and answer
Wanting him to take the blame
3.Jesus just stooped down and wrote in the sand
It was like he did not hear them
He new their hearts
He knew what they wanted him to do
They wanted to put her to death
4. Jesus kept writing
6b.But Jesus stooped down, and with his finger wrote on the ground, as though he heard them not.
Who among you is with out sin
I no your intents I see the hypocrisy not so much her as me
Trapping Christ was their motive
Wanting Jesus to say stone her now
They knew the people was watching to see what Christ would do
5. They kept on tempting him
7So when they continued asking him, he lifted up himself, and said unto them, He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her.
Jesus turn the tables on them
Sinless among you start stoning
Romans 2:1Therefore thou art inexcusable, O man, whosoever thou art that judgest: for wherein thou judgest another, thou condemnest thyself; for thou that judgest doest the same things.
When Christ looked up only he and the woman was left.
Where are thy accusers
They took off when Jesus turn the tables on them
6. Jesus wrote in the sand more
8And again he stooped down, and wrote on the ground.
John 8:11She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more.
Jesus answered her “neither do I condemn thee”
John 3:16For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
John 3:17For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
Christ is writing to you now read what he say’s
He loves you
He is not condemning you but wants you to saved
He wants you to have everlasting life
Its not his will that any parish but all come and repent
Let us look at our selves and our life
Jesus loves you right now
Turn to him while he calling you to be saved
