Summary: There are a lot of voices in the world, and in the Church. We have to make sure that the Church is LOUD AND CLEAR with what it is saying.

LOUD AND CLEAR

Text: I Corinthians 14: 8-11

Verse 10 of this passage makes it clear that there are many voices in the world today.

All clamoring about various things.

But the Apostle Paul shows that if they are not clear then nobody will understand what is being said.

The sad thing about it is this, that even in the Church there are many voices being heard, but none are clear.

It is time Church that we let the trumpet sound a clear note.

We are in a war and the clear call of the Church must be heard.

President George W. Bush put it this way when speaking on the war on terrorism, “You are either with us or against us.”

Church the clear call is going out today in the battle we face.

As we look to the Word of God we will see that what is happening now is a confusing sound.

But at the close we will see how to let the voice of the Church be heard: LOUD AND CLEAR

I. We Must Send Out The Word That The Bible Is God’s Word.

A.We have to believe in the inerrancy of it. (Accuracy)

1. From Creation to the End.

2. And everything in between.

3. The history as well as the prophecy.

4. The promises and the curses.

B. It is God’s word. (expound)

2 Timothy 3:16 All scripture is inspired by God, and it is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness.

2 Peter 1:21 For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.

C. It has to stand against all pressure of society/ religion.

1. The Word of God cannot be changed just because society thinks it should.

2. Here is where the Church’s voice must be heard loud and clear.

II. We Must Send Out The Word That The Church Is The Body Of Christ.

A. But in Churches across the world we practice self-mutilation.

1. Cutting off parts of the body for our pleasure.

2. Cutting with bitterness, with bad attitudes, with gossip….

1 Corinthians 3:3 For you are yet carnal: for whereas there is among you envying, and strife, and divisions, are you not carnal and walk as men?

B. The Church is Divinely instituted. (Matthew 16:18)

1. But man has taken the divine and corrupted it

C.The world needs to see the Church.

III. We Must Send Out The Word that God’s People Are Holy.

A. Only holy people are God’s.

Hebrews 12:14 Follow peace with all men and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord.

B. We are to be holy because God is holy.

2 Corinthians 7:1 Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves form all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.

C. There has been a lot of filthiness of the flesh and spirit in the churches lately.

1 Thessalonians 5:22 Abstain from all appearance of evil.

Conclusion: God is not going to pour His Spirit into a cesspool of confusion.

God is not going to build His Church out of the frozen Chosen.

The world needs to hear a loud and clear message.

A message of absolute truth in a time where there seems there are no absolutes.

Jesus said He was the way the truth and the life. John 14:6

The ones who are saved and sanctified have to step up.

Do we actually believe that this world has gotten into the shape it is in overnight?

There have been years gone by where the Word of God has been muffled and in some instances silent.

No More! It is time to get loud and draw a crowd.

But let it be with a clarity of which we have not seen or heard for a while.
