LORD LET JESUS BREATH ON ME

JOHN 20: 19 Then the same day at evening, being the first day of the week, when the doors were shut where the disciples were assembled for fear of the Jews, came Jesus and stood in the midst, and saith unto them, Peace be unto you.

20 And when he had so said, he shewed unto them his hands and his side. Then were the disciples glad, when they saw the Lord.

21 Then said Jesus to them again, Peace be unto you: as my Father hath sent me, even so send I you.

22 And when he had said this, he breathed on them, and saith unto them, Receive ye the Holy Ghost:

23 Whose soever sins ye remit, they are remitted unto them; and whose soever sins ye retain, they are retained.

When Jesus breathed on Adam he was a living soul.

He breathed on the disciples they were filled with the Holy Spirit.

When you let Christ be close to you there are so many things he can do for you.

(1) He can turn our fears into peace.Ver.19

A. The fear of death.

1st Corinthians’ 15: 55 O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?

56 The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law.

57 But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

B. Our fear of rejection By total acceptance though his great love and grace.

Our fear of the unknown By showing us what’s ahead.

Our fear of failing To victory

(2) When we are close to him. Ver.20

Happy an Psalms 92: 4 For thou, LORD, hast made me glad through thy work: I will triumph in the works of thy hands.

5 O LORD, how great are thy works! and thy thoughts are very deep.

The joy of the Lord.

Nehemiah 8: 10 Then he said unto them, Go your way, eat the fat, and drink the sweet, and send portions unto them for whom nothing is prepared: for this day is holy unto our Lord: neither be ye sorry; for the joy of the LORD is your strength.

Sad glad are mad is a choice that we make.

(3) Then he commissions us. Ver.21

He calls us to his work.

He equips us with our to fill the call.

Then he sends us to the field.

(4) Want you let him breathe on you today. Ver.22:23

You can have a personal relations with him.

You can talk with him one on one.

You can better get to know him and what he wants from you.
