Lord, Can I be your pencil today?

Habakkuk 2:2 The Lord answered me, and said, Write the vision and make it plain... THAT HE MAY RUN THAT READS IT.
Gal.6:9 And let us not grow weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.
Proverbs 11:25 --- He that watereth shall be watered.
We know that the pen is mightier than the sword. Often times my written words can go much farther than my voice can be heard. But I must remember I am writing an autobiography with my actions and words.
It is easy to forget: what is said, lessons learned, and ideas to adapt, but to discipline my self to write and make notes, will make my thoughts speak when I am in the grave.
Many will guard their written words but forget their spoken words and daily actions have influence.
What are you writing today?
Jeremiah 17:1 The sin of Judah is written with a pen of iron, and with the point of a diamond.
We must remember that we are writing our life’s history today. Sin writes many heartbreaks and much pain.
You are a product of your daily choices. We are writing our life history, you cannot erase the mistakes, they are in permanent ink. Jesus forgives, but the scars remain.
Habakkuk 2:2 And the Lord answered me, and said: WRITE THE VISION, AND MAKE IT CLEAR...
Why would God want Habakkuk to write the vision?
A pencil is a an excellent tool to fix a man’s attention and to address the needs of the future. We can later look at what is written and enlarge and develop the thought processes.
Once a Master Preacher came down from the pulpit, the sermon had been so anointed and powerful. A student enquired of the Elder, may I see your notes? The Master said, I am sorry, I quit making notes many years ago, the sermon was lost to memory?
We, in our menial daily chores, are writing tommorow’s memories. Your words today, your deeds and actions, your reactions, are pressing and we are writing a life on eternal scrolls.
The pencil is a tool, a very effective tool.
LORD, CAN I BE YOUR PENCIL TODAY?
Years ago, I was reading in the December 4, 1989, "TIME MAGAZINE." There was an article titled,--- "A PENCIL IN THE HAND OF THE LORD."
The interview was with Mother Teresa of Calcutta, India. Mother Teresa gave her life to feed starving people and later to minister to the dying. In this article the writer asked Mother Teresa about her feelings of being used of God to minister to the poor, then the world. Her little work was known world wide, even the President of the USA knew her and her Love Labor.
She answered, "But it is His work, I think God wants to show His greatness by using my Nothingness."
She was asked later, " You feel you have no special qualities?"
Mother Teresa replied, "I don’t think so. I don’t claim anything of the work. It is His work and I am like a little pencil in His Hand. That is all. He does the thinking, He does the writing. The pencil has nothing to do with it. The pencil has only to be allowed to be used."
What a beautiful story of this little woman using her talent to cook and feed others.
She touched many. How sad her funeral had to be at the same time as Princess Diana?
I am not writing today about Diana, Princess of Whale or about Mother Teresa, they are in the Hands of God. I write to ask you, WHAT ARE YOU WRITING?
Do we evaluate our daily writing? This is a personal question, --- WHAT AM I WRITING?
Do you realize, today, you are writing a page in history? Do you realize your words and deeds of this day can never be erased?
I have often pondered, what is ministry? My conclusion ... to see a need and to try to do something to help resolve the need -- Then carry the the need to the Throne of God, and rewrite the history.
NO SADDER WORDS OF TONGUE OR PEN, THE SADDEST ARE THESE, WHAT MIGHT HAVE BEEN! ? ?
You are writing some child’s memories today. Be hateful and short tempered? It will be remembered.
I was walking down a street in Prestonsburg, KY. A little boy and his mother was walking down the other side of the street. The little boy started screaming and pointing at me ... THERE’S JESUS MOM, THERE IS JESUS!
The little boy’s Mom was a drug addict, he had been at church the night before with his aunt. I took time to hug the boy and laugh. I let him hold my guitar and strum it... AND THE LITTLE BOY THOUGHT I WAS JESUS! Wow!
