As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him: Rooted and built up in him, and stablished in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving. Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ. For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily. And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power: In whom also ye are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ: Buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead. And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses; Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross; And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it. Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days: Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ. Col 2:6-17 KJV

Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. Eph 6:10 KJV

This is not just a suggestion or a passing hint. It’s an imperative command!

Three words in the verse we look at: Strong, Power, Might.

The word “strong” is taken from the Greek endunamoo which is a compound of en (in) and dunamis (explosive strength, ability, or power). When these two words are compounded together, the new word endunamoo describes an empowering or an inner strengthening. It conveys the idea of being infused with an excessive dose of dynamic inner strength and ability. "In the Lord" describes where this power is located and locked up.

“Power” is from kratos power is a power that is demonstrative, eruptive, and tangible. Kratos power refers to the strongest flow of power that exists in the entire universe. In fact, this power is so supreme that in Scripture, it is used only in reference to God’s power. Man does not possess this kind of power — unless it has been given to him by God!

The word “might” is taken from the word ischuos, and it conveys the picture of an extremely strong man, such as a bodybuilder; a man who is able; a man who is mighty; or a man with great muscular capabilities. This term is applied here to God and it demonstrates the mighty Arm of God! (From Rick Renner)

Surrounded by unlimited power! That's the position where you were placed in Christ! Who is the source of power? Who has all power? Where are you physically? Where you are spiritually positioned? Where do you prefer to be of the two? How do we reside in the realm of spiritual power and remain there? "Abide in me"...is possible if Christ commanded it! So how do we abide in Him where the power is?

Before Christ we were in Adam

For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive. 1Co 15:22 KJV

We have moved from Adam to Christ! We have relocated. We’re in New Territory! We wear different clothes, feed on different food, breathe different air, and speak a different language. We drink from a new source and are connected to unlimited power!

WE ARE NOW IN CHRIST!

But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption: 1Co 1:30 KJV

Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. 2Co 5:17 KJV

When I look at me I still see me as I used to be... a physical body…But the Word said in Christ I am a new creation and the Word is true therefore I am a new creation but how? The spiritual man is that new creation, for my once dead spirit has been made alive and reconnected to God in Christ. My profession, confession, belief and faith in His promises has resulted in me being placed in Christ! This is the born again experience that Jesus spoke of to Nicodemus...a spiritual rebirth effected by the Holy Spirit, that enables me to see the Kingdom of God. A new creation with a new lifestyle, a new Boss, a new Head, a new mission, in computer speak... A completely new operating system installed, which runs virus free, malware free, spyware free in a completely new environment where we can now turn around and tell the enemy...you can't touch this!
