Summary: But in this generation, God is raising a lot of people like Moses who can see God face to face on a daily basis and from seeing God face to face, they start revealing a fresh revelation of Jesus, the ways of God and the end time plans of God.

Lord, you have been our dwelling place throughout all generations. Before the mountains were born or you brought forth the whole world, from everlasting to everlasting you are God. Psalms 90:1

This psalm was written by a person who saw God face to face, who spoke to God face to face for a prolonged time. He had prolonged exposure of seeing God face to face.

Seeing God face to face is similar to being near (or exposed to) nuclear radiation. Once we are in that vicinity of it, our bodies and souls will surely be affected by it. It is contagious and will affect both you and others around you. It will begin to affect/ harm your body's core, just like nuclear radiation does. Only those who experience it can really understand it. Nuclear radiation destroys our bodies, but seeing God face to face prepares us to spend prolonged time with Jesus. It’s a dangerous exposure - on the one hand, there is a great deal of fear of God, and on the other, we become extremely sensitive to both God and sin.

Our bodies and souls are transformed or prepared to see and experience God in all His fullness and Glory. We can compare God’s full Glory to millions of degrees of temperature, whereas our bodies can sustain/withstand only up to 100 degrees. Seeing God face to face prepares or transforms our bodies and souls to withstand higher degrees of God’s Glory (temperature) like from 100 degrees to millions of degrees (to see God’s full Glory). When we start seeing God face to face on a daily basis, we will start withstanding more of God’s Glory and our bodies or souls are transformed to withstand more of God’s Glory.

Moses saw God face to face and that too for long and prolonged time (many years). In our generation, if only we had people who saw God face to face for a prolonged time, how much of an impact it would make on all the nations of this world. Can you imagine that – seeing God face to face for prolonged time. Moving from a glimpse of seeing God face to face to spending prolonged time seeing God face to face.

In Moses’s generation, Moses was the only person who saw God face to face on daily basis. But in this generation, God is raising a lot of people like Moses who can see God face to face on a daily basis and from seeing God face to face, they start revealing a fresh revelation of Jesus, the ways of God and the end time plans of God.

Seeing God face to face changed his perspective from earthly to eternal perspective. His thoughts, prayers, thanksgiving, adoration to God also changed to eternal perspective. Eternity and Eternal thoughts got hold of him. Spending eternity with God got hold of him. He started doing things from eternal perspective. He started praising and worshipping from an eternal perspective. Although he belonged to that generation, he did not stick/stuck to that generation.

He was in time, but he said and did things that were eternal or timeless. He was not stuck to his generation. He was free from earthly attachments. God was all he had, and everything else faded. Seeing an eternal God, changes your perspective from earthly to eternal perspective. All he had left at the end of his life was God.

This psalm was a clear example where eternity was so abundantly present or seen. In every verse, there is a thread of time that connects generation after generation with the eternal perspective of Jesus. Every verse was dripping with drops or hints about eternity and eternal God. Moses said – from everlasting to everlasting you are God. He started to see God from an eternity perspective, and he aligned his life to this eternal perspective. He was preparing his heart to spend all of eternity with Jesus. Nothing in this generation impacted him much.

He started living on earth with a perspective of spending all of eternity with Jesus. Every day was preparation to see Jesus and preparing his heart to spend eternity with Jesus. He was getting ready to see him every day and also preparing his heart to spend eternity with Jesus. He was living in present with Jesus and also preparing for the future to spend with Jesus. What an eternal blessing Moses had- His Present (or daily experience of) seeing God face to face and His future – preparing to spend all of eternity with Jesus.

How many of us see Jesus every day and also prepare to spend all of eternity with him? Do you see Jesus every single day? Are you getting ready to spend all of eternity with Jesus? Do give it some thought.
