LITTLE HERO...

Hebrews 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

Matthew 19:30 But many that are first shall be last; and the last shall be first.

Mark 10:31 But many that are first shall be last; and the last first.

Few can spot a real hero of the Lord... the Good Book says: MANY THAT ARE FIRST WILL BE LAST, AND THE LAST SHALL BE FIRST... Someday a GREAT REWARDER WILL PASS THROUGH OUR MIDST AND THE GOD TROPHY SYSTEM WILL BE PUT IN PLACE.

Want to know a real HERO OF THE LORD... ??? Try Hur, --- Hur was a him not a she... How would you like to HUR... It is believed HUR was Miriam’s husband... Hur is recorded several times in the Bible, always in a supportive role. Hur pulled up a rock for the man of God to sit on... Hur lifted Moses’ arms and victory came... reckon there was Body Odor?

A real HERO OF THE LORD may not be the star out front...God’s real HERO’S are often over looked by the world and forgotten by the religious crowd.

Ever heard of a SERVANT mowing grass? Cleaning the church? Taking a widow to the grocery store? Doctor? Ever heard of a servant with a knife in his back --- ministering joy and love?

Ever heard of the dormant seed that this little hero has planted? Where is the fruit many will yell? Ever seen a pastor give when he has a real need? Ever seen a local pastor put down, while the TV PREACHER’S POLISHED AND EDITED PROGRAM GETS THOUSANDS of bucks? Ever heard of the great one flying his custom jet, while the little preacher crawls into a rusty car with 200,000 miles on it and travels across the state to do a funeral and he gets a ham biscuit and 10 hugs?

Some demand: Here little hero go over here? Ever heard of the little hero traveling to aid another and find some other fund will carry him? What fund? Ever see the little hero’s furnace break and it cost him dearly to pay the repair man. Then he offered many hours of his service to a family where death has come and they offer him the money out of a child’s piggy bank and he politely declines.

WHERE ARE THE TROPHIES? Where is THE TOP TEN LIST? Is this little servant an embarrassment to the church? Where are the slick suits? Where are the crowds applauding?

Can you see the tears and the self-sacrifice? Listen as one boldly discloses: HE AIN’T SPIRITUAL ENOUGH FOR US? Can you see the holes in his underclothes--- The badge of his love and sacrifice? The red badge of courage?

The HERO OF THE LORD chips away at the huge boulder before him. He is FAITHFUL to his little post of duty. If he quits few would want that job?

THE HERO IS NOT THERE BECAUSE HE HAS TO BE... HE IS THERE BECAUSE HE SAW THE CROSS, THEN HE SAW THE NEED, THEN HE VOLUNTEERED FOR DUTY. LOVE IS THE MOTIVATION!

While many lay down their Bible and vow never to work again... Our little hero picks up his Bible and finds great comfort and joy... The little HERO HAS LEARNED A GREAT VERSE: GOD IS THE REWARDER...

He has learned: Psalm 119:165 Great peace have they which love thy law: and nothing shall offend them.

Proverbs 8:17 I love them that love me; and those that seek me early shall find me.

Little HERO OF THE LORD, hang on, keep on, dream on, press on, sharpen the plow, try again, try again, --- if you keep on long enough there is coming a TURN AROUND, A GREAT TURN AROUND, A GREAT SPIRITUAL TURN AROUND WHEN HEAVEN’S SYSTEM WILL COME INTO VIEW.

Every tear was speaking directly to God. Every person that turned away when the going got tough and the WORD got hard... Every one that walked away... will someday see who was the real hero.

Defeat comes when one forgets that GOD IS THE REWARDER OF THE DILIGENT SEEKER... Soldier, stand up. Wounded soldier don’t fester into infection. Remember Jesus had a crown? It was a crown of thorns... How could they? They couldn’t see there was hanging a HERO OF THE LORD on that despised cross.

Little husband and father don’t believe your eyes. Don’t allow bitter tears to drive your heart. Don’t grow bitter fruit? Grow better! Try again. It is always too soon to quit.
