Welcome back church! We are excited that you decided to join us once again for another week of our current series, “Glow in the Dark.” Starting last week, we began to look at what the Bible says about light and darkness. We discussed how Jesus claims He is the “light of the world” and all of us are invited into this marvelous light.
Today, we are headed to the Old Testament and the longest chapter in the entire Bible, Psalm 119. But before we get there, I have a story for you...
Have you been in this same spot before? I was concerned about walking in the darkness without a light and that I would step on a Lego or something, which would have caused a ton of pain. But if we are honest today, some of us are trying to go through life without so much as a flashlight.
We are trying to do life on our own, without any help or guidance, which is, essentially, in the dark. As we talked about last week, God presents this difference all throughout scripture between the light and the dark. He is a God who calls us to “walk in the way that leads to life.” And today, I want to talk more about the light that has been provided for our various paths in life.
