Life's Journey Requires Grace

Summary: As Believers, we've come to recognize that our life journey needs God's grace to sustain it. We need the power of God to refresh us and nourish us.
Life's journey requires grace
I remember as a litttle child when our Mother would send my brothers and I to Memphis during the summer when we prepared to take a trip with her to Mississippi she would always pack food for what seemed to be a long journey fried chicken was a favorite because it was good hot or cold.
Often when we take long journeys by automobile or train, we may carry food stuffs along with us. The items we carry are designed to tide us over until we reach our destination or a restaurant. Sometimes, drivers are armed with a variety of snacks, juices and water for the journey as well. Sometimes sandwiches are prepared for picnics at rest areas. It's even a good time to put left-overs to use as well. We generally consider the length of the journey and stock pile enough food to make to our primary rest stop.
How do we prepare for our life's journey into a new direction? What do we pack? How do we insure enough of the essentials to carry us where we need to go?
Every believer is on a journey that is long and meandering. Without the power of God to carry us and motivate us, many have found it impossible to make even the shortest journey.
He is the energy source. He is the power! Without him our journey comes to a screeching halt.
As Believers, we've come to recognize that our life journey needs God's grace to sustain it. We need the power of God to refresh us and nourish us.
Many usually define grace as "God's unmerited favor towards us in Christ". Though not incorrect, this definition is incomplete, for grace also includes the divine gifts which flow from this favor, such as our new life in Christ, God's indwelling Presence and the ability to bear spiritual fruit.
Our prayer is that God will always stay close to us every step of the way.
Today, let God guide your journey. Proverbs 3:3-6
1. God is going to take care of you - Psalms 37: 1- 6
2. Don't Glory in anything but God - Jeremiah 9:23,24
3.Get to know God - 1 Chronicles 28:9
4. He Cares about you - Philippians 4:6
