PRAYING FOR PEOPLE

By Wade Martin Hughes, Sr. Kyfingers@aol.com

PRAY THAT PEOPLE WILL HAVE GOOD GODLY ATTITUDES OF UNITY AND HARMONY.

Ephesians 4:23 And be renewed in the spirit of your mind; (be made new in the attitudes of your minds.)

1 Corinthians 1:10 Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you; but that ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment.

2 Corinthians 13:11 Finally, brethren, farewell. Be perfect, be of good comfort, be of one mind, live in peace; and the God of love and peace shall be with you.

PRAY FOR GOD TO OPEN DIVINE DOORS OF OPPORTUNITY AND CLOSE FLESH DOORS…

Colossians 4:3 Withal praying also for us, that God would open unto us a door of utterance, to speak the mystery of Christ, for which I am also in bonds:

PRAY FOR THE FEET OF PEOPLE… May we ask our Father to guide us through life. WHERE ONE GOES…

Psalm 17:5 Hold up my goings in thy paths, that my footsteps slip not.

Psalm 37:23 The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD: and he delighteth in his way.

24 Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: for the LORD upholdeth him with his hand. Psalm 119:133 Order my steps in thy word: and let not any iniquity have dominion over me.

PRAY FOR THE HEART OF PEOPLE.

Psalm 119:11 Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.

12 Blessed art thou, O LORD: teach me thy statutes.

16 I will delight myself in thy statutes: I will not forget thy word.

Proverbs 15:13 A merry heart maketh a cheerful countenance: but by sorrow of the heart the spirit is broken.

PRAY FOR PEOPLES MOUTH.

Proverbs 18:21 Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.

Psalm 34:13 Keep thy tongue from evil, and thy lips from speaking guile.

Psalm 34:19 Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the LORD delivereth him out of them all.

PRAY FOR THE WORK OF PEOPLES’ HANDS… WHAT YOU DO?

Matthew 5:30 And if thy right hand offend thee, cut it off, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell.

Colossians 3:23-24 And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men; 24 Knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance: for ye serve the Lord Christ.

Proverbs 10:4 He becometh poor that dealeth with a slack hand: but the hand of the diligent maketh rich.

5 He that gathereth in summer is a wise son: but he that sleepeth in harvest is a son that causeth shame.

PRAY FOR PEOPLES’ HEARTS

Matthew 15:16 And Jesus said, Are ye also yet without understanding? 17 Do not ye yet understand, that whatsoever entereth in at the mouth goeth into the belly, and is cast out into the draught? 18 But those things which proceed out of the mouth come forth from the heart; and they defile the man. 19 For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies:

Matthew 12:34 O generation of vipers, how can ye, being evil, speak good things? for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh.

Psalm 28:7 The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in him, and I am helped: therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth; and with my song will I praise him.

PRAY FOR PEACE TO REIGN… AND CALMNESS OF BELIEVERS…

Isaiah 26:3 Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee. John 14:1 Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.

John 14:27 Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

PRAY FOR PEOPLE TO SEE WITH THEIR EYES AND HEAR AND DISCERN THE TRUTH WITH THEIR EARS.

Matthew 13:16 But blessed are your eyes, for they see: and your ears, for they hear. 17 For verily I say unto you, That many prophets and righteous men have desired to see those things which ye see, and have not seen them; and to hear those things which ye hear, and have not heard them.

Isaiah 55:3 Incline your ear, and come unto me: hear, and your soul shall live; and I will make an everlasting covenant with you, even the sure mercies of
