Keeping Your Victory In Christ

KEEPING YOUR VICTORY IN CHRIST

MAIN TEXT: 1PETER 5:8

Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.

Your hour of total victory is now because the Almighty God who you serve has remained a victor and the enemy cannot rejoice over you from today. Let's consider some important points that guarantees victory in Christ;

1) SUBMIT TO GOD

James 4:7-Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you."

Spiritual submission to God gives protection and security. When we submit to God, God takes the responsibility of protecting and directing us. If there is no submission, then no responsibility. We cannot hold God accountable until we submit. Psalm 91. Spiritual submission qualifies us for Ephesians 6:11, "Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes". It will be a criminal offence to wear police uniform and operate as one, if you are not an authorized trained police officer. So is it for us, it is spiritual submission to God that authorizes us to put on "the full armor of God". Many people want to put on the full armor of God without submission, even this is suicidal. Of a truth, our service to God is very important but we must also know that God is more interested in your soul than the work you are rendering in his house. We cannot withstand or resist the devil until we have the full armor of God and we cannot have the armor except we are subject to God. Ephesians 6:12-13. Holiness in total obedience to God is the sure-bet to a life of victory.

2) ENGAGE IN THE POWER OF REVELATION

1 CORINTHIANS 2:10, "these are the things God has revealed to us by his Spirit.

The Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God".

The man of revelation is the man that has conquered and still conquering the world and the flesh. Such a man is led by the Spirit of God. It is the Spirit of God that searches the deep things, he opens up and reveals the secrets behind the solutions and victories of life. The man of revelation is the man of excellence. The excellent man is he that lives the future in the now. You call in the future and begins to live it. It's only by revelation that one can do so. Revelation carries light, it illuminates the darkness of ignorance to empower with the true knowledge. Daniel 2:22, "He reveals deep and hidden things;

he knows what lies in darkness, and light dwells with him". The man of revelation has "the Light" dwelling in him. Secrets are revealed when the light shines. It is important to note that spiritual warfare is done effectively by revelation. The eye is a major instrument for revelation, Matthew 6:22 "The eye is the lamp of the body. If your eyes are healthy, your whole body will be full of light".

3) ENGAGE IN THE FORCE OF SPIRITUAL VIOLENCE:

Matthew 11:12, "From the days of John the Baptist until now, the kingdom of heaven has been subjected to violence, and violent people have been raiding it".

We are made in the image and likeness of God, our God is a consuming fire. The spiritual battle field is not for the cold nor the weak, but for those who are violent in the spirit. There should be a side of you that consumes. Psalm 105:15 "Do not touch my anointed ones; do my prophets no harm.” When the anointing is grieved, it consumes. As born again Christians, we have a seal of Christ on us, " dead, alive and reigning in Christ", so death and Satan cannot kill the righteous.

4) ENGAGE IN THE MINISTRY OF THE PROPHET

Hosea 12:13, "The Lord used a prophet to bring Israel up from Egypt, by a prophet he cared for him". God gives the duty/mandate of liberation and preservation to the prophet. The prophet delivers and preserves. For every prophetic word, comes with a prophetic direction to get you to the expected end or destination. Sometimes the word/promise is easy but the real journey needs direction.

Amos 3:7, " Surely the Sovereign Lord does nothing without revealing his plan

to his servants the prophets". For every Canaan, there is a Moses and also for every Pharaoh, there is a Moses to subdue. These are those that has the anointing to decode, interprete signs, wonders, languages and symbols by divine intelligence and wisdom. They are men of the supernatural. Prophets enforce and restore the will of God upon the people or nation. Prophets are also for kings, kingdom and government.

It is time to possess your victory in Christ and to keep that victory because the devil is always contending for it. Matthew 13:28 "An enemy did this,’ he replied.“The servants asked him, ‘Do you want us to go and pull them up?’. Possess your possessions as you apply these spiritual warfare principles for your victory.
