Just Go!

Summary: There are no excuses. It’s time to go; Just go! This was Jesus’ last command with a promise. " I will be with you!"
Just Go! Text: Matthew 28: 16-20
While unbelievers are in term oil and fear, others are reaching out, hearing, and ready to do the Master’s will! Isn’t it the same way today? All of us will hear, but some will doubt and even walk away from the very words spoken to them as a direct command from God’s Son! Jesus never told us to lick our wounds, talk about them and quit. He gave us one direct command-Go! Go and be fruitful! Go Spirit filled! Just go and rub off on others!
I. This was Jesus’ final word to every believer because this was what He was all about, for some 3 1/2 years! (Most people will say exactly what they practice daily.)
A. V 13 of Matthew 28 tells us of the wicked schemes of men all around Jesus. They said, “ Tell everyone that Jesus’ disciples stole His body!”
B. Matthew 28: 16-17 Then the eleven disciples went away into Galilee, to the mountain which Jesus had appointed for them. 17 When they saw Him, they worshiped Him; but some doubted.
C. It’s important to mention that the church’s “Great Commission” is born out of an environment of worship! Notice, as worship was under way some doubted!
D. Where you are right now, usually comes from the choices you’ve made! Worship or doubt; just stay, or just come! It’s up to you!
E. Matthew 28: 18-19 And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. 19 Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,
F. God tells us in His word that these great days are coming! Daniel 7:14 Then to Him was given dominion and glory and a kingdom, That all peoples, nations, and languages should serve Him. His dominion is an everlasting dominion, Which shall not pass away, And His kingdom the one Which shall not be destroyed.
G. What’s your excuse? Listen to Luke 10: 17-20 Then the seventy returned with joy, saying, “Lord, even the demons are subject to us in Your name.” 18 And He said to them, “I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven. 19 Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you. 20 Nevertheless do not rejoice in this, that the spirits are subject to you, but rather rejoice because your names are written in heaven.” (Just Go!)
H. Rick Warren Said in “ The Purpose Driven Church” In any church where lives are being changed, marriages are being saved, and love is flowing freely, you’ll have to lock the doors to keep people from attending. People are attracted to churches with quality worship, preaching, ministry, and fellowship. Quality attracts quantity.” He say’s on page 52 A church that has no interest at all in increasing its number of converts is, in essence, saying to the rest of the world, “ You all can go to hell!”
I. Mark 16: 15-16 And He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. 16 He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned.
J. Matthew 28: 20 teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.
K. This morning Jesus wants to know how many of you are on His side? (Get a show of hands) We are now going outside to walk to our new land and place the first rock and then everyone is invited in the next few days to come and bring your own rock with your favorite scripture written on it. Come pray 24-7. Let us pray and dedicate this spot unto the Lord right now!
