Ecclesiastes 5:19 Every man also to whom God hath given riches and wealth, and hath given him power to eat thereof, and to take his portion, and to rejoice in his labor;

this is the gift of God.

Poverty is a curse………..

According to Deuteronomy 28, the curse of poverty was to come upon God's children if they disobeyed him. Contrary to some religious doctrine, the Old Testament never views poverty and lack as a blessing from God. Poverty and lack was (and is) a curse.

Deuteronomy 28:15-18 But it shall come to pass, if thou wilt not hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe to do all his commandments and his statutes which I command thee this day; that all these curses shall come upon thee, and overtake thee: Cursed shalt thou be in the city, and cursed shalt thou be in the field. 7 Reasons God Wants You To Prosper

1. God wants to bless YOU. Ps 35:27 says: Let the Lord be magnified, which hath pleasure in the prosperity of His servant.”

Ps. 115:14 “May the Lord give you increase more and more, you and your children.”

2. Jesus came to give you abundant life.

John 10:10 The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.

God’s desire is for His children to be rich.

2 Cor. 8:9 For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes, he became poor, that ye, through his poverty, might be rich.
