It Is God's Will For His People To Prosper
3 John 1:2 Beloved, I pray to God, above all things, that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.
Genesis 2:10-12 And a river went out of Eden to water the garden; and from thence it was parted, and became into four heads. 11 The name of the first is Pison: that is it, which compasseth the whole land of Havilah, where there is gold; 12 And the gold of that land is good: there is bdellium and the onyx stone.
Deuteronomy 8:18 But thou shalt remember the LORD thy God: for it is He that giveth thee, power to get wealth,
Joshua 1:8 This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then, thou shalt make
thy way prosperous, and then, thou shalt
have good success.
Acts 20:35 I have shewed you all things,
how that so labouring ye ought to support
the weak, and to remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he said, It is more blessed
to give than to receive. Receiving is good.
Luke 6:38 Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall
men give into your bosom. For with the
same measure that ye mete withal it shall
be measured to you again.
It Is God's Will For His People To Prosper
Psalm 35:27 Let them shout for joy and be glad, who favor my righteous cause. And let them say continually, Let the LORD be magnified,””” Who has pleasure in the prosperity of His servant.”””
Prosperity,,,, is a Gift from God
Ecclesiastes 5:19 Every man also to whom God hath given riches and wealth, and hath given him power to eat thereof, and to take his portion, and to rejoice in his labor;
this is the gift of God.
Poverty is a curse………..
According to Deuteronomy 28, the curse of poverty was to come upon God's children if they disobeyed him. Contrary to some religious doctrine, the Old Testament never views poverty and lack as a blessing from God. Poverty and lack was (and is) a curse.
Deuteronomy 28:15-18 But it shall come to pass, if thou wilt not hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe to do all his commandments and his statutes which I command thee this day; that all these curses shall come upon thee, and overtake thee: Cursed shalt thou be in the city, and cursed shalt thou be in the field. Cursed shall be thy
basket and thy store. Cursed shall be the fruit of thy body, and the fruit of thy land, the increase of thy kine, and the flocks of thy sheep. Thou shalt carry much seed out into the field, and shalt gather but little in; for the locust shall consume it. Thou shalt plant vineyards, and dress them, but shalt neither drink of the wine, nor gather the grapes; for the worms shall eat them. Thou shalt have olive trees throughout all thy coasts, but thou shalt not anoint thyself with the oil; for thine olive shall cast his fruit.
But wait,,,, Galatians 3 Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangs on a tree: That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith. And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed,
and heirs according to the promise. Gen 12:2
I will bless thee, and Thou shall be a blessing
Biblical Examples of Wealth and Prosperity
Romans 2:11 God is no respecter of persons. God does not show partiality. What he did for the patriarchs he will do for us.
Abraham, Jacob, David, Solomon, Joseph
Joseph of Arimathaea, Mary Magdalene, in Luke 8:2-3,,,,, Joseph, father of Jesus
7 Reasons God Wants You To Prosper
1. God wants to bless YOU. Ps 35:27 says: Let the Lord be magnified, which hath pleasure in the prosperity of His servant.”
Ps. 115:14 “May the Lord give you increase more and more, you and your children.”
2. Jesus came to give you abundant life.
John 10:10 The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.
God’s desire is for His children to be rich.
2 Cor. 8:9 For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes, he became poor, that ye, through his poverty, might be rich.
3. God wants you blessed financially so you can finance the gospel and establish His covenant. Deut. 8:18 But thou shalt remember the LORD thy God: for it is He that giveth thee power to get wealth, that he may establish his covenant which he sware unto thy fathers, as it is this day.
Here are four things. . .every believer should understand about Deut 8:18. First, remember the Lord thy God, the One who gave you, His all, so you can be your all, through Him.
Second, the power to produce wealth is a gift from God. He has endowed you with the seeds of greatness. He has given us the mind of Christ (1 Corinthians 2:16.)
Third, God will never give you something unless He expects you to use it….
Fourth, God has given us the power to be rich for a reason. Why, to fulfill “His” covenant, what covenant, we are “blessed”
“To be a blessing.” to finance the ministry...
4. God wants you to honor Him, through your financial success. Proverbs 3:9 Honour the LORD with thy substance, and with the firstfruits of all thine increase: So shall thy barns be filled with plenty,
5. God wants you to be a consistent tither
and giver, to fund His local church.
There was a well-known preacher, teaching on biblical finance and getting out of debt.
He said if you’re coming out of debt, its okay to tithe what you can. Start tithing with two or three percent and work up as you get blessed. He went on to say that God would understand. At the time, it sounded good and noble, even compassionate, but it was wrong, it was wrong then and it’s wrong now. Malachi 3:10 in the Amplified Bible says:
“Bring all the tithes (the whole tenth of your income) into the storehouse, that there may be food in My house, and prove Me now by it says the Lord of hosts, if I will not open the windows of heaven for you and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.” Bring all of your tithes. the whole ten percent. If you don’t bring the entire ten percent, you are robbing God.
The Word of God is not conditional on the basis of the mess you’re in, But listen, God says… “Test me in this and see if I don’t open up heaven itself to you and pour out blessings beyond your wildest dreams.”
6. God wants you to care for the widows and the orphans. James 1:27 says: Worship, that is pure and unblemished in the sight of God is this: to care for the orphans and widows.
7. God wants to show you off. Rom 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God,
to them who are the called according to
His purpose. “The Called means The Saved,
His Adopted Children. And, according to
His purpose means, If You Look Good,
The Father Looks Good, give illustration…
Deuteronomy 28:1-13 And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe and to do all his commandments which I command thee this day, that the LORD thy God will set thee on high above all nations of the earth:
And all these blessings shall come on thee, and overtake thee, if thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God. Blessed in the city, the field, thy body, ground, cattle, sheep, basket and thy store, come in, go out.
The Lord shall command the blessing to come upon thee,
