IS THE BLOOD APPLIED TO YOUR DOOR POST OF YOUR HEART?

When the enemy of our soul comes to attack us, we need to realize there is nothing that is off limit to him. But Jesus died on the cross, was buried and resurrected to destroy the curse that was over us and to save us from our sins. Jesus has accomplished his part it is now time for us to stand in that victorious power and do our part. What is our part? We need to go to Revelation 12:11

“And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.”

What is the meaning of the blood on the door post so the Angel of Death would pass over the Israelite's? This was the last plague before Pharaoh would allow Moses and the children of Israel to leave Egypt.

What is the meaning of blood on the door post and what does it stand for today in our lives?

When Joseph was in Egypt, he delivered the members of his family from famine.

The blood was applied to the door posts by the Israelite's to prevent the angel of death from coming in. The song, “there is power in the blood,” still resonates in our heart because there is power in His blood over us.

Let’s look at Exodus 12:3-13 NIV “Speak to all the congregation of Israel, saying: on the tenth day of this month every man shall take for himself a lamb, according to the house of his father, a lamb for a household. And if the household is too small for a lamb, let him and his neighbor next to his house take it according to the number of the persons; according to each man’s need you shall make your count for the lamb. Your lamb shall be without blemish, a male of the first year. You may take it from the sheep or from the goats. Now you shall keep it until the fourteenth day of the same month. Then the whole assembly of the congregation of Israel shall kill it at twilight. And they shall take some of the blood and put it on the two doorposts and on the lintel of the houses where they eat it. Then they shall eat the flesh on that night: roasted in fire with unleavened bread and with bitter herbs they shall eat it. Do not eat it raw, nor boiled at all with water, but roasted in fire-it’s head with its legs and the entrails. You shall let none of it remain until morning and what remains of it until morning you shall burn with fire. And thus you shall eat it, with a belt on your waist, your staff in your hand. So you shall eat in haste. It is the Lord’s Passover. For I will pass through the land of Egypt, on that night, and will strike all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, both man and beast; and against all the gods of Egypt I will execute judgment: ‘I am the Lord.’ Now the blood shall be a sign for you on the houses where you are. And when I see the blood, I will Pass over you; and the plague shall not be on you to destroy you when I strike the land of Egypt.

We need to understand in times of panic or any crisis we must continually plead the blood of Jesus Christ over them. No one is free from battles that plague us, but again, Jesus has reversed the plague. Some come across their battle early in life like Jacob. Jacob started his battle right in the womb and the fight was so terrible that by the time Esau came out first, Jacob was holding Esau’s leg.

1. There is nothing in life that we should fear. We only need to understand things because fear comes from ignorance (Not being ugly here. Without knowledge are we not in the dark, naive, uneducated, or “ignorant “?)

2. God from the beginning of the foundation of the of the world decided to save us from defeat not from trouble.

3. Ninety nine percent of the bad things that you worry about will never come to pass if we are covered in the blood.

4. God is more interested in making us what we ought to be, rather than what we would like to be.

While the world is in chaos, we should have the peace of the Lord in our lives. God controls everything that happens in our lives. Every place we go, God goes before us. We are not to cower to the things of the world and become like the world in the face of adversity.
