Introduction:

Mother’s represent those hands that rock the cradle and rule the world, but Fathers are the ones who bought the cradle!

Dad’s we need to prepare ourselves to make right choices, and to be Men of God!

There are some pivotal points in our lives, vital relationships which we must build as strong as iron, in order to stand the test of time and temptation!

a. Ephesians 5:1-7

b. Because others will follow your lead.

c. Ephesians 5:8-13

2. Stand True to Yourself!

a. Ephesians 5:14-21

b. “Understand what the will of the Lord is!” – Vs. 17

1. That’s a HUGE statement!

2. It is your responsibility to search the Scriptures and gain the ability to show the truth to others, especially your family! (2 Timothy 2:2)

c. “Speaking to one another…” – Vs. 19

d. One man being true to God, and to himself makes a huge impact on others! So share your convictions!

3. Stand true, like a Man of Iron, in your relationship to your Wife!

4. Stand true in your relationship to those precious Children!

a. Ephesians 6:1-4

b. Dad’s must prove themselves worthy of trust!

c. By standing true in these other relationships, we set the standard for our kids.

d. It may be simple, but make sure your family hears you, from your mouth, in your words, speaking your belief on Baptism, and faith, and reliance on God and don’t just say it, show it! Show in your conduct and in the Bible!

e. the “Iron” in your life must be the “Sword of the Spirit” the Word of God! (Eph. 6:17)

Conclusion:

If the Word of God is the Iron in your life, the source of your spiritual strength, the source of your self-control, the source of your hope and wisdom, you are truly an Iron Man of God!
