Inviting Jesus

INVITING JESUS: AN APPOINMENT THAT CAN CHANGE YOUR LIFE

John 2: 1-11

If you are going to sail in a dangerous sea or travel in a risky mountain, who will you invite to go with you? One couple invited Jesus from the very start of their journey and they never regret it.

Joh 2:1 On the third day a wedding took place at Cana in Galilee. Jesus' mother was there,

Joh 2:2 and Jesus and his disciples had also been invited to the wedding.

WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF INVITING JESUS INTO YOUR LIVES?

I- HE WILL BE INVOLVED IN ALL YOUR PROBLEMS

Joh 2:3 When the wine was gone, Jesus' mother said to him, "They have no more wine."

Joh 2:4 "Dear woman, why do you involve me?" Jesus replied. "My time has not yet come."

Life has many troubles and problems, but what is important is that Jesus must be involve and that will make the difference.

II- HE WILL BE IN CHARGE OF YOUR WORRIES

Joh 2:5 His mother said to the servants, "Do whatever he tells you."

When the sea is calm, any one can manage the helm. But when the sea of life becomes perilous, we have to do whatever the captain tells us. Jesus our captain must be in control

III- HE WILL TURN THE ORDINARY INTO EXTRA ORDINARY

Joh 2:6 Nearby stood six stone water jars, the kind used by the Jews for ceremonial washing, each holding from twenty to thirty gallons.

Water jars are ordinary things in their everyday life until Jesus came and make it extra ordinary. Like those jars, our life will become extra ordinary if we will invite Jesus into our lives.

IV- HE WILL MAKE OTHERS TO KEEP WORKING FOR YOUR GOOD

Joh 2:7 Jesus said to the servants, "Fill the jars with water"; so they filled them to the brim.

Joh 2:8 Then he told them, "Now draw some out and take it to the master of the banquet." They did so,

When Jesus was invited, He required everyone to be busy working for the one who invited Him. You may wonder why people are busy helping you. I tell you, Jesus is behind every help that you received.

V- HE WILL TRANSFORM YOUR BORING LIFE INTO EXCITING

Joh 2:9 and the master of the banquet tasted the water that had been turned into wine. He did not realize where it had come from, though the servants who had drawn the water knew. Then he called the bridegroom aside

When Jesus was invited, He turned the water into wine. A life that is formerly boring and dull become exciting just because you invited the right person in your life.

VI- HE WILL GIVE YOU THE BEST TILL THE LAST

Joh 2:10 and said, "Everyone brings out the choice wine first and then the cheaper wine after the guests have had too much to drink; but you have saved the best till now."

With Jesus is a never ending fountain of every good things. No empty dreams! There is no dry wells in Jesus.

VII-HE WILL REVEAL HIS GLORY RIGHT INTO YOUR HOUSE

Joh 2:11 This, the first of his miraculous signs, Jesus performed at Cana in Galilee. He thus revealed his glory, and his disciples put their faith in him.

Number six in the bible means incomplete, and insufficiency. But Christ is our sufficiency.

Col 2:10 and you are complete through your union with Christ. He is the Lord over every ruler and authority in the universe.

2Co 12:9 And He said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness." Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

JESUS CHRIST IS THE SEVENT JAR OF OUR LIVES. HE MAKES US COMPLETELY SATISFIED.
