IN SEVENTY WEEKS-I—Daniel 9:24(1-3, 13-27)
The Pivotal Messiah OR Messiah’s Niche
Attention:
What does it mean to be an Evangelical?
LifeWay Research conducted a study focusing on evangelical 'belief' versus evangelical 'self-identification' Nov. 10-12, 2017.
Evangelical beliefs are defined using the NAE LifeWay Research Evangelical Beliefs Research Definition based on respondent beliefs. Respondents are asked their level of agreement with four separate statements using a four-point, forced-choice scale(strongly agree, somewhat agree, somewhat disagree, strongly disagree). Respondents are categorized as having evangelical beliefs if they strongly agree with all four statements:
The Bible is the highest authority for what I believe.
It is very important for me personally to encourage non-Christians to trust Jesus Christ as their Savior.
Jesus Christ’s death on the cross is the only sacrifice that could remove the penalty of my sin.
Only those who trust in Jesus Christ alone as their Savior receive God’s free gift of eternal salvation.
*Fifteen percent of Americans are evangelicals by belief, according to LifeWay Research. By contrast, 24 percent of Americans self-identify as evangelicals.
As Christians, we are ‘not’ fighting a losing battle, but we ‘are’ fighting an uphill battle, only having limited time & opportunity to share God’s Good News in Christ with our world!
Need:
Our world needs to be prepared with God’s Good News!

Our TIME(:24a)
Explanation/Illustration:(:24a)
:24a—“Seventy weeks are determined For your people & for your holy city, To finish the transgression, To make an end of sins, To make reconciliation for iniquity, To bring in everlasting righteousness, To seal up vision & prophecy, And to anoint the Most Holy.
“Seventy Weeks”(of years)—
Lev. 25:8—“‘And you shall count seven sabbaths of years for yourself, seven times seven years; & the time of the seven sabbaths of years shall be to you forty-nine years.”
This describes an overall 490 yr. period of seventy years X(times) seven years—clarified in :25-27. This time period is God’s timetable for the remainder of time for mankind on the earth. “weeks are counted as years, & the years[lunar] had 360 days[with intercalary months added every 3-years].—David Jeremiah in, ‘The Handwriting On The Wall’(DJTHOTW)
God has your/our times in His hands!
?How can this be?...By Messiah only!
“Determined”—Ktx khaw-thak’—Niphal Perfect—1) To divide, determine—1a) (Niphal)--To be determined, be decreed, be settled, be marked out. Strong—a primitive root; properly--To cut off, i.e. figuratively--To decree. Used 1X.
Argumentation:
Lk. 12:4-7—“And I say to you, My friends, do not be afraid of those who kill the body, & after that have no more that they can do. But I will show you whom you should fear: Fear Him who, after He has killed, has power to cast into hell; yes, I say to you, fear Him! Are not five sparrows sold for two copper coins? And not one of them is forgotten before God. But the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Do not fear therefore; you are of more value than many sparrows.
Acts 17:30-31—“Truly, these times of ignorance God overlooked, but now commands all men everywhere to repent, because He has appointed a day on which He will judge the world in righteousness by the Man whom He has ordained[Jesus]. He has given assurance of this to all by raising Him from the dead.”
Jn. 5:19-23—“Then Jesus answered & said to them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, the Son can do nothing of Himself, but what He sees the Father do; for whatever He does, the Son also does in like manner. For the Father loves the Son, & shows Him all things that He Himself does; & He will show Him greater works than these, that you may marvel. For as the Father raises the dead & gives life to them, even so the Son gives life to whom He will. For the Father judges no one, but has committed all judgment to the Son, that all should honor the Son just as they honor the Father. He who does not honor the Son does not honor the Father who sent Him.”
Mat. 28:18-20—“And Jesus came & spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven & on earth. Go therefore & make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father & of the Son & of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; & lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.”
