I Wonder

Summary: We know that God uses us when our attitude is right and He use us when our motives are right but thank God, that He uses us even when our attitude isn’t right, or our motives aren’t right!
Luke 22:7-10-Then came the Day of Unleavened Bread, when the Passover must be killed. And He sent Peter and John, saying, “Go and prepare the Passover for us, that we may eat.” So they said to Him, “Where do You want us to prepare?”
And He said to them, “Behold, when you have entered the city, a man will meet you carrying a pitcher of water; follow him into the house which he enters. 11Then you shall say to the master of the house, ‘The Teacher says to you, “Where is the guest room where I may eat the Passover with My disciples?”’ 12Then he will show you a large, furnished upper room; there make ready.”
I WONDER:
I wonder did he get up that morning and his wife say, “I don’t feel very good can you go get us some water?” (In that day and time it was custom for the woman to gather the water, that’s why he would stand out in a crowd and that’s why Peter and John was able to recognize that this was the man they were to follow.)
I wonder what would have been his response…”Woman, That’s Women’s Work!”
“I Don’t Have Time For That!” “Fine! (With A Attitude)
Or maybe he got up that morning and said, “I know you are not feeling well, I’ll go get the water!”
We know that God uses us when our attitude is right and He use us when our motives are right but thank God, that He uses us even when our attitude isn’t right, or our motives aren’t right!
Has God ever used you when you didn’t have the right attitude or right motives?
I wonder if he had been praying for God to use him, and God did use him even when he was having a off day…His thought process wasn’t right, his motives wasn’t right, his attitude wasn’t right!
Has God ever used you, when you didn’t start off on the right foot that day?
I wonder if he was a widower?
I wonder if he ever asked the question, “How can I serve God now that I’m all alone?”
Master (Maybe referring to many servants),Large, Furnished Upper Room (Maybe great wealth)-Even though God can bless in material ways, it may seem empty without someone to share it with!
God can use us no matter where we are in life! Whether we have a whole lot or a little! Whether we are single or married! Whether we are the boss or the low man on totem pole!
I CORINTHIANS 2:9-BUT AS IT IS WRITTEN, EYE HATH NOT SEEN, NOR EAR HEARD, NEITHER HAVE ENTERED INTO THE HEART OF MAN, THE THINGS WHICH GOD HATH PREPARED FOR THEM THAT LOVE HIM
Hebrews 6:10-For God is not unjust to forget your work and labor of love which you have shown toward His name, in that you have ministered to the saints, and do minister.
Just when you least expect it, God can use you!
It maybe just a normal day and God use you to minister to someone, maybe the words you say, maybe the deed you do!
The day one of our coworkers had mention to us on our lunch break that she only had a couple of dollars to get by the rest of the week on, when she went to the bathroom we all took up a collection and hid it in her purse. The next day, she came up to me and said, “I found 50 dollars in the bottom of my purse, ain’t God great” I said, “Yes He Is!”
I got a bigger blessing out of giving, than she got receiving!!!
Look what this man received, he’s gift is a part of the story of the last hours of Jesus’ physical life on this earth, and those few hours alone with His disciples, and establishing the Lord Supper.
I’ve got to believe that he went thru the rest of his life saying, “God allowed me to be a part of Jesus’ ministry, God blessed me, so that I could provide a place for Jesus’ to have His last supper with His disciples!”
