I Have Not Seen

I think of Moses as he stood before the Red Sea.

I think of David and when he stood before Goliath

I think of Elijah and how he needed to proved God was the one true God!

I think about Daniel and how he was shut up in a room of hungry lions.

I think about the three Hebrew Children and how their were force to choose between worshipping a gold image or the one true God.

I think the waters parting, the giant defeated, The lions mouth shut, The Lord in the midst of the fire, and numerous acts through out history that God is the one true God!

I know of one this morning who’s supply has never ran out.

I know one who can meet every need.

I know of one who owns the cattle on a thousand hills.

His name is Wonderful, Prince of Peace, Counselor, Everlasting Father, His name is Jesus!

I believe the God inspired men to write of these great miracles of God so it would be easier for us to trust God for our problems.

No matter how big or how small they may seem, Jesus Christ is waiting patiently

for you to ask Him to get involved.

You may be wondering, if God knows I have a need why doesn’t He automatically

just meet that need.

It’s because of this simple fact. He wants you to understand that you can’t make

it by yourself, you’re limited in your resources and abilities.

You must come to the place where you realize that you must rely on Him to help you, to watch over you, to take care of you.

And when you do, and you’ve turned that situation or that struggle over to God, then He and He alone will get the glory for what He’s doing in your life.

Verse 25-I Have Been Young-A man of experience

Verse 24-Though he fall-Times a persons fails, a time when they mess up, time when they make mistake!

He knew about those times.

Verse 24-The Lord upholds him with His hand-God protects the young and foolish…(Ten foot tall and bullet proof).

David looked back over his life and seen all the times God had protected him.

Now am old-With age should come wisdom and a time to reflect how much God has done for you!

Verse 25-Yet I have never seen the righteous forsaken, nor his descendants begging bread.

Why live like a pauper when you are a child of the King.

Why complain about your condition when God wants to change it?

There’s no problem with the Word, the problem is in us trusting the Word.

A young man had been to Wednesday night Bible Study. The Pastor had shared about listening to God and obeying the Lord’s voice. The young man

couldn’t help but wonder, “Does God still speak to people?" After service he

went out with some friends for coffee and pie and they discussed the

message. Several different ones talked about how God had led them in

different ways. It was about ten o’clock when the young man started driving

home. Sitting in his car, he just began to pray, "God.. If you still speak

to people, speak to me. I will listen. I will do my best to obey." As he

drove down the main street of his town, he had the strangest thought, stop

and buy a gallon of milk. He shook his head and said out loud, "God is that

you?" He didn’t get a reply and continued on toward home.

But again, the thought, buy a gallon of milk. The young man thought about

Samuel and how he didn’t recognize the voice of God, and how little Samuel

ran to Eli. "Okay, God, in case that is you, I will buy the milk."

It didn’t seem like too hard a test of obedience. He could always use the

milk. He stopped and purchased the gallon of milk and started off toward

home. As he passed Seventh street, he again felt the urge, "Turn down that

street." This is crazy he thought and drove on past the intersection.

Again, he felt that he should turn down Seventh Street.

At the next intersection, he turned back and headed down Seventh. Half

jokingly, he said out loud, "Okay, God, I will". He drove several blocks,

when suddenly, he felt like he should stop. He pulled over to the curb and

looked around. He was in semi-commercial area of town. It wasn’t the best

but it wasn’t the worst of neighborhoods either. The businesses were closed

and most of the houses looked dark like the people were already in bed.

Again, he sensed something, "Go and give the milk to the people in the

house across the street." The young man looked at the house. It was dark
