Summary: In this powerful word, Danielle Parker reveals how God uses the unexpected, the hidden, and the overlooked to shift history. If you’ve ever felt out of place, it’s because you were born to disrupt, not to conform. You are Heaven’s surprise move—and when God plays you, everything changes.

I Am Glad to Be a Wild Card

By Danielle Parker

INTRODUCTION: The Ones Who Don’t Fit

Let’s be honest—many of us have spent years asking the wrong questions.

Questions like: “Why am I so different?” “Why does my story seem so off-course compared to others?” “Why am I always the one people overlook?”

But beloved, here’s the truth: You’ve been asking for acceptance in places where God has hidden you for assignments.

You are not defective. You are divinely distinct. You weren’t overlooked—you were set apart. You weren’t forgotten—you were reserved for something greater.

POINT 1: GOD LOVES TO BREAK THE PATTERN

1 Corinthians 1:27 (NIV): “But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise...”

God’s divine strategy has always been this: Take the unexpected. Raise up the overlooked. Use the misfit to fulfill the mission.

Noah didn’t know how to build a boat, but he became a builder of salvation.

Abraham was too old to father nations—but God called him the father of faith.

Joseph was thrown into a pit by his brothers—but later delivered those same brothers.

Moses stuttered—but still spoke to Pharaoh.

Rahab was a prostitute—but became part of the royal lineage.

Why does God do this? Because when He picks the unqualified and works through them, He alone gets the glory. He turns nobodies into Kingdom history-makers.

POINT 2: WILD CARDS ARE STRATEGICALLY HIDDEN BEFORE THEY ARE REVEALED

Psalm 37:23: “The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord...”

What feels like delay is actually divine calibration. You were being built. You were being matured. You were being positioned in silence to be revealed in power.

David was anointed in private before he fought in public.

Joseph was imprisoned before he was promoted.

Jesus lived 30 years in obscurity before 3 years of ministry flipped the world upside down.

Wild cards are dangerous because the enemy doesn’t see them coming. Your hiding season is not a punishment—it’s your power loading.

POINT 3: WILD CARDS DON’T FIT IN—THEY SHAKE THINGS UP

John 15:19 (NLT): “The world would love you as one of its own if you belonged to it, but you are no longer part of the world.”

The elect don’t fit in. The wild cards can’t be boxed in.

You’re not here to decorate the world—you’re here to disrupt it.

You’re not weird—you’re wired differently.

You’re not late—you’re launched in God’s timing.

You weren’t created to conform—you were created to confront.

Some of you have been trying so hard to be “normal” when God made you supernatural.

POINT 4: JESUS—THE ORIGINAL WILD CARD

Colossians 2:15: “Having disarmed the powers and authorities, He made a public spectacle of them...”

Revelation 1:18: “I have the keys of Hades and of Death.”

Jesus wasn’t the victim of the cross—He was the trap for Hell.

He flipped the table on Satan—and now He’s handed you the keys.

So the wild card anointing didn’t stop at Calvary—it was released into every believer. If Jesus is the wild card—you are the next move.

POINT 5: THE WORLD IS WAITING FOR YOU TO RISE

Romans 8:19 (ESV): “For the creation waits with eager longing for the revealing of the sons of God.”

The world is groaning. The nations are trembling. Hell is nervous… because you’re waking up.

You are not a side character in someone else’s story. You are the main character in Heaven’s divine assignment.

God isn’t asking you to be perfect—He’s asking you to be willing.

WILD CARD DECLARATION (EXPANDED VERSION)

Say it with fire in your voice and faith in your heart:

I WAS NEVER MEANT TO BE ORDINARY.

I WAS NEVER MEANT TO BE CONTROLLED BY THE WORLD.

I WAS NEVER MEANT TO BE PREDICTABLE TO THE ENEMY.

I AM CALLED AND CHOSEN.

I AM UNPREDICTABLE TO THE ENEMY.

I AM A WILD CARD IN THE HANDS OF GOD.

NO WEAPON CAN STOP ME.

NO FORCE CAN CONTAIN ME.

I AM AN UNSTOPPABLE FORCE IN THE KINGDOM OF GOD.

I AM GLAD TO BE A WILD CARD!

ALTAR CALL: FROM HIDING TO LAUNCHING

Maybe you've been hiding because you were afraid.

Maybe you thought your story disqualified you.

But now you know—God specializes in using the ones no one sees coming.

It’s time to surrender your plan and pick up His purpose.

It’s time to say: “Lord, I’m ready. Play me however You choose.”

You are not overlooked. You are not too late. You are not unworthy.

You’re just a wild card. And God is about to play you.
