How Do I Get There? Patience!

HOW DO YOU GET THERE? EXPECTING, PATIENTLY WAITING

*NEED: lacking, to be in want, necessary, water, food, shelter and friends.

*WAIT: ANTICIPATION, expect until, state of hope,

*PATIENCE: to bear difficulties calmly without complaining, to handle suffering and troubles without anger, to be willing to handle annoyance, to calmly endure.

Biblically: WAITING IS ACTION, EXPECTING, DISCERNING… WAITING IS WHERE WE BUILD CHARACTER. WE COME CLOSER. WE COME TO TEST OUR FAITHFULNESS.WAITING WILL test our determination. It is a training process.

WHAT DOES OUR NATION NEED? WHAT DOES OUR CHURCH NEED? WHAT DOES YOUR FAMILY NEED? GET REAL: WHAT DO YOU NEEDED?

Hebrews 10:36 For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise.

DID YOU HEAR ABOUT THE MONKEY THAT ATTENDED THE LOCAL UNIVERSITY AND GRADUATED WITH HONORS WITH HIS BACHELOR’S DEGREE? HE WAS AWARDED A

SCHOLARSHIP TO A PRESTIGIOUS MEDICAL SCHOOL. HE GRADUATED IN THE TOP OF HIS CLASS. HE THEN SPECIALIZED AS AN OBSTETRICIAN… OB/GYN.

This highly trained MONKEY set up a practice in the edge of the jungle and soon animals were traveling great distances with fertility issues. His main patients were with expecting mothers. One day an expecting rabbit came in and sought medical attention. The rabbit said doctor I think I am expecting babies. Sure enough the test was positive. The momma rabbit was going to have babies and her husband would be so happy. While waiting in the office the rabbit met a female elephant and they visited. They were so excited. The next patient was the elephant. The elephant went in to see the OB/GYN and said: I THINK I AM PREGNANT. So the doctor ordered a pregnancy test. It confirmed the elephant was in fact going to have a little baby. Both the rabbit and the elephant were so excited. A month later both expecting mothers visited the doctor. The momma rabbit had 10 little rabbits. The elephant was hardly showing. Momma elephant was disappointed. The next month the rabbit and elephant made their monthly visit … The momma rabbit had 10 more babies, 20 beautiful babies. The elephant had nothing. The OB/GYN told the elephant everything is fine. Don’t listen to the rabbit. This went on month after month. Momma rabbit had 120 babies and had grand babies. The elephant cried and cried.

DOCTOR MONKEY are you sure I am expecting? The doctor said: HURRY UP AND WAIT… You need patience.

OB/GYN Monkey explained Momma rabbit can have 10 babies every 27 days. Her babies are not real smart. Monkey said your baby will stand three feet tall and weigh between 250 to 300 pounds. Monkey said, Elephant you will be so proud… your baby will be exceptionally smart. Beside all of that your baby will have the largest brain of any mammals. He will understand several languages and use tools to accomplish tasks. Monkey said you will be so proud because your baby will have compassion and understanding and bring comfort to other elephants. He is not like the rabbit, his memory will be great.

DOCTOR OB/GYN SAID: SUCCESS IS NOT AN OVER NIGHT ISSUE. Loving life takes time. The rabbit may have babies every 27 days, but they average 3-5 years in the life cycle. YOUR BABY CAN LIVE 60 TO 70 YEARS. You will carry your baby 22 months to 2 years. QUIT FEELING DEFEATED BECAUSE YOU ARE COMPARING YOUR SELF TO THE RABBIT. BE PATIENT! DON’T EVER GIVE UP! JUST BE YOUR SELF AND KEEP EXPECTING GOOD THINGS. One day almost 2 years later Momma elephant went into labor and had a calf… 5,000x’s the size of the rabbit. BE PATIENT AND TRUST GOD’S TIMING AND OPEN DOOR.

#12: OVER NIGHT SUCCESS? I DID NOT GET HERE WITHOUT BEING OVER THERE… PATIENTLY WAITING! He refused to quit!
