Summary: Knowing the Spirit of God
HOW CAN YOU KNOW IF IT’S REALLY GOD?
I John 4:1
Certainly we know there are false prophets in this world. Some are doing it for power and some for financial gain. But I believe God is so prevalent that is we look closely we can determine whether or not It is really Him. WE CAN KNOW IT’S REALLY GOD BY HIS:
SPEECH: ( John 20:14-16) – We find that Mary has gone to the tomb and sees am an there but does not recognize it and assumes it is the gardener. She asks him where they have taken the body of Jesus. Jesus then says “Mary”. She turns and says Rabboni meaning Master.
She did not recognize him but she knew his VOICE
John 10:4 - And when he putteth forth his own sheep, he goeth before them, and the
sheep follow him: for they know his voice.
A sheep will follow its Master
SOUND: (1Ch 14:15) And it shall be, when thou shalt hear a sound of going in the tops of the mulberry trees, that then thou shalt go out to battle: for God is gone forth before thee to smite the host of the Philistines
The way he SHINES: (Acts 9:3-6) And as he journeyed, he came near Damascus and suddenly there shine round about him a light from Heaven
Everywhere Paul went he testified of his conversion and that light that shone on him
Acts 9:3 – light
Acts 22:6 – great light
Acts 26: 13 – a light from Heaven above the brightness of the sun
God kept getting brighter in Paul’s life!
Paul also recognized the fact he was in the presence of a high power when he addressed Him as Lord? Saul. Saul why persecutest thou men? Who art thou Lord?
SOVEREIGNTY: (Job 37:23) Touching the Almighty, we cannot find him out: he is excellent in power, and in judgment, and in plenty of justice: he will not afflict.
(Psalms 8:9) O LORD our Lord, how excellent is thy name in all the earth!
(Hebrews 2:6-10) READ!!!
SALVATION: (Acts 4:12) Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved
And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him (Hebrews 5:9)
