Friend, You are welcome to, THE TRUMPETER. Remember, it is a moment we are sharing the UNDILUTED word of God, preparing the saints for the second coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. It's a moment we also look at the amazing facts happening in the world today and understanding them in the light of the revealed word of God. We also use this medium to warn the unbelieving world about the fast approaching judgement of God

In this edition, we are going to look at some dangerous facts prevalent in this age. It can be seen in a life, church, society and nation. The revelations of this message may shock you.

Our Heavenly father, sanctify us with your word for your word is truth. Minister knowledge and wisdom to us through your revelation and bring us to the fullness of your understanding. Thank you Lord,as all glory will be returned to you through Christ our Lord. Amen.

The subject is ‘HIGHWAY TO HELL’

Luke chapter 12 verses 16-21

“And he spake a parable unto them, saying, The ground of a certain rich man brought forth plentifully: and he reasoned within himself, saying, What shall I do, because I have not where to bestow my fruits?

And he said, This will I do: I will pull down my barns, and build greater; and there will I bestow all my grain and my goods. And I will say to my soul, Soul, thou hast much goods laid up for many years; take thine ease, eat, drink, be merry. But God said unto him, Thou foolish one, this night is thy soul required of thee; and the things which thou hast prepared, whose shall they be? So is he that layeth up treasure for himself, and is not rich toward God”

Again the book of James chapter 5 verses 1-6

“Come now, ye rich, weep and howl for your miseries that are coming upon you. Your riches are corrupted, and your garments are moth-eaten. Your gold and your silver are rusted; and their rust shall be for a testimony against you, and shall eat your flesh as fire. Ye have laid up your treasure in the last days. Behold, the hire of the laborers who mowed your fields, which is of you kept back by fraud, crieth out: and the cries of them that reaped have entered into the ears of the Lord of Sabaoth. Ye have lived delicately on the earth, and taken your pleasure; ye have nourished your hearts in a day of slaughter. Ye have condemned, ye have killed the righteous one ; he doth not resist you”

Barely over two thousand years ago, a unique personality made a great impact in the lives of mankind. For only three years, He changed the destiny of many. He died at the age of 33 while grave couldn't hold him. He lives forevermore and He is coming back again. He is Jesus Christ the son of God.

Sadly,in a contrast,another young man of only 33, a lead singer by name Bon Scott drank himself to death. The young man recorded six studio albums, beginning with the one he called "high voltage".It was shortly after the release of the sixth album which he called "Highway to Hell" that he died. The album sold over a million copies during its initial run and has sold seven million to date. The young man abused drugs and indulged in sinful living.

The Word of God says in Psalms chapter 55 verse 23.

“But thou, O God, wilt bring them down into the pit of destruction: Bloodthirsty and deceitful men shall not live out half their days; But I will trust in thee”

Really, bloody and deceitful men shall not live out half their days.

Do you know how the singer died?

He was found dead in his car after an indulgent binge left his body lifeless and his soul at the reality of the " highway to Hell". The young man who wore a Satanic pentagram around his neck, had been taking medication for liver damage prior to his death.

Let me quote a verse from his album "Hey Satan, you paid my dues, playing in a rock in' band. I'm on a highway to hell"

He sang and glorified Satan, saying he is the one who paid his dues.

As Jesus went to hell and freed the prisoners therein, a young man decided to walk on its highway. He was not alone.

Many are on the highway to hell.

Well, at least I thank God for Mr Scott who has given me a great topic to preach on today.

Jesus in the passage, the book of Luke chapter 12 verses 16 to 21 narrated a parable of a certain rich man who received bountifully out of his ground. The only thing he remembered to do,was to pull down his barn and extended its boundaries. He made many mistakes. He forgot God, the giver of life and provider of lands. Again, his worst was feeding his soul with a wrong information.
