He’s Always On Time Luke 2:6NIV
Luke 2:6 while they were there, the time came for the baby to be born,
Time: 6256- eth, now, certain, always, continually, due season, divinely appointed.
Jon Walker writes: “We manage, waste, spend and save time. We wish it would come… we wish it would pass… we see it fly and we feel it drag. We watch clocks and carry calendars, creating the illusion that somehow we control it. However he say’s, God controls time… He writes, Do you think He was surprised that ‘while they were there, the time came for the baby to be born?’ We’re surprised by unexpected developments… God’s never surprised, even by the most disastrous turn of events.
Psalm 31: 14-15NIV But as for me, I trust in You, O LORD; I say, “You are my God.” 15 My times are in Your hand; Deliver me from the hand of my enemies, And from those who persecute me.
All the events, and circumstances of life are in the hands of the Lord.
Q&A: How would your faith be, if you knew God wasn’t surprised by your circumstances and is working toward a holy and healthy conclusion?
In the book of Genesis, what kept Joseph in tack while thrown in prison unjustly? He knew God was in control.
George Mueller once waited on the dock for a special chair to be delivered because he had a bad back and needed it for his ocean voyage. When departure time came and it still hadn’t arrived his friends offered to buy him one, but Mueller said, ‘Either God will provide… or… give me grace to do without.’
All of the sudden just like a Hollywood ending… the chair arrived… right on time!
Paul wrote in Romans 8, verse 28 And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.
How would you act, think and live differently if you were absolutely certain God was at the end of your deadline… even if there were only seconds left?
Hebrews 13:8 Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.
Time doesn’t diminish His love, or His power to work within your life. Listen to Jeremiah 29:11-12 God say’s, 11. For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope. 12 Then you will call upon Me and go and pray to Me, and I will listen to you.
Q&A: Do you have time for Christmas? The Majis from the east and the shepherds took time.
Q&A: Do you have time for family, friends and even strangers? Jesus did.
Q&A: Do you have time to give? Worship and love.
Q&A: Do you have time to receive? Throw your clock away. (Stop making it about you.)
Proverbs 16: 3-9NIV Commit to the LORD whatever you do, and he will establish your plans. 4 The LORD works out everything to its proper end— even the wicked for a day of disaster. 5 The LORD detests all the proud of heart. Be sure of this: They will not go unpunished. 6 Through love and faithfulness sin is atoned for; through the fear of the LORD evil is avoided. 7 When the LORD takes pleasure in anyone’s way, he causes their enemies to make peace with them. 8 Better a little with righteousness than much gain with injustice. 9 In their hearts humans plan their course, but the LORD establishes their steps.
When you know that God is in your time, your faith will rise.
He was there in your past, He’s here now, and He will be in your future!
Remember this, God’s interested in bringing you into eternity, not getting your through the weekend.
Ecclesiastes 3: 1-8, 11 To everything there is a season, A time for every purpose under heaven: 2 A time to be born, And a time to die; A time to plant, And a time to pluck what is planted; 3 A time to kill, And a time to heal; A time to break down, And a time to build up; 4 A time to weep, And a time to laugh; A time to mourn, And a time to dance; 5 A time to cast away stones, And a time to gather stones; A time to embrace, And a time to refrain from embracing; 6 A time to gain, And a time to lose; A time to keep, And a time to throw away; 7 A time to tear, And a time to sew; A time to keep silence, And a time to speak; 8 A time to love, And a time to hate; A time of war, And a time of peace. 11 He has made everything beautiful in its time. Also He has put eternity in their hearts, except that no one can find out the work that God does from beginning to end.
