12. And I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who hath enabled me, for that he counted me faithful, putting me into the ministry;
13. Who was before a blasphemer, and a persecutor, and injurious: but I obtained mercy, because I did it ignorantly in unbelief.
14. And the grace of our Lord was exceeding abundant with faith and love, which is in Christ Jesus.
15. This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief.
16. Howbeit for this cause I obtained mercy, that in me first Jesus Christ might shew forth all longsuffering, for a pattern to them which should hereafter believe on him to life everlasting.
17. Now unto the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only wise God, be honor and glory forever and ever. Amen.

*The Bread of Life*
Scripture: I Timothy 1:12-17 verse
Subject: He Obtained Mercy/ Thank God for Mercy
The writer of I&II Timothy is thee Apostle Paul. And he writes this book to Timothy his great friend, buddy, and really he calls Timothy his son and son in the Gospel. For three main purposes #1 is to encourage Timothy in his Christian life and walk. Because as you know Timothy was a young man, a young minister, and later on Pastor after Paul left him in Ephesus to straighten things out and correct some things. #2 was to warn young Timothy about False teachers and doctrinal error that was on the uprising. # 3 was to teach the qualifications and order of officials in the church. Believer needed to know how to behave in the church. It’s quoted by the Apostle Paul in 1 Timothy 3:15 verse. That thou mayest know how thou oughtest to behave thyself in the House of God. And I encourage everybody to read I Timothy the 2nd & 3rd chapter. So that you may know for yourself the rules and the guidelines for how you are suppose to dress and act in the House of God as Christians and Saints of God.
Tell somebody down your row “Read the Book”
So as we look further in to this message coming from the 1 chapter of First Timothy Paul says I thank Jesus Christ who has enabled me, for that he counted me faithful, by putting me into the ministry. Listen Jesus Christ puts the true minister in the ministry. This is a critical fact. Paul says that he did not make himself a minister nor did other persons choose him to be a minister. He did not choose the ministry because he thought it would be a good profession nor because people thought he would make a good minister. He was in the ministry for one reason only: Christ Jesus had chosen him and put him into
The ministry. Listen I have to stop right there and serve somebody notice and to tell you that there is a difference in being call and being chosen. See many are call but few are chosen. The reason why is this the chosen ones are chosen because they can take it, that can face it that can bear a lot of things and situations. They are not easy to give up, not easy to throw in the towel they are Fighters, Strivers, and Pressers, they do what it takes to get the job done. Those are the ones that God Chooses. It just like the service many can join up but only the few that are really cut out for the task will be chosen to go to the next level in. And if Christ call and chosen you then that means that he will enable you like he did the Apostle Paul. Listen the word “enabled” means to
Strengthen and give power to. The power of Paul’s ministry came from Christ. Christ
Gave him the strength to minister. Paul’s strength and power to minister did not come
From him
trying to stir up power within himself.
talking about the results and power in his ministry.
{3}
trying to program strength and power into his ministry.
trying to shout power into his preaching.
Christ Himself put Paul into the ministry; therefore Christ Himself strengthened and
Empowered Paul for the ministry. And I stop by to tell you that this is how you know that you are called because Christ will Choose you and not only choose you but he will
Enable you with Power and Authority and Anointing and he will Strengthened you so that you may be able to carry out your Task. Listen No person has the power to do spiritual warfare; no person can penetrate the spirits of other people. If we are to minister to people, then we must be empowered by Christ, for only Christ can penetrate the spirits of people. Therefore, we must possess the power of Christ. And we as Saints of God are to be glad that God has chosen us to delivery his Gospel, which is good news to a dying world, and how he looks beyond our faults and still have need of us.
