Guard what was committed to Your Trust

God has trusted each of us with Something

Family, Children, Job, Testimony, Gift, Leadership, Friend

We’re not real sure all that’s been committed to our trust

And how do we GUARD IT?

You guard what has been committed to you..... BY YOUR WORDS

VS 21— Guard what was committed to your trust, avoiding the profane and idle babbling’s and contradictions of what is falsely called knowledge

1. Avoiding the Profane...gr. BEB ay los.... Ungodly.... OF MAN

Don’t concern yourself with the things of MAN

When your focus is on the things of MAN.... ONLY DESTRUCTION CAN COME

I don’t let my faith waiver... When men fail me

I don’t let my trust in God die...

Because I can’t trust someone

You Cant either.... Your Trust is in GOD....

Husband, wife, boss, pastor.. Failed you

There are things in this church.. THAT I MUST INVOLVE MYSELF WITH

SOME THINGS I DON’T

I have to look inside... Is this time for me....

IS IT PROFANE

If it is ..... I MUST AVOID IT....

IF I AM TO GUARD WHAT HAS BEEN COMMITTED TO ME

Don’t involve yourself in the profane...BEB ay los...... THE THINGS OF MAN

IF you have the chance to speak truth.... Speak it

If they listen... Keep Speaking....

If the don’t.... SHUT UP

Husbands, Wives, Employees, Christians, Talk Show Host

Spouses quit arguing over useless matters... More important

Employees quit arguing over useless matters... More important

Christians quit arguing over useless matters.... More important

Christians like to Argue.... SURE THEY”RE RIGHT

Paul KNEW MORE.. THAN JUST CHRIST CRUCIFIED

He determined to know nothing except...

Learn to make peace...

I don’t argue with people... That I know think differently

1st reason.. It can turn profane

2nd reason.. Idle babblings

If I want to guard what has been committed to me.... I and YOU must do these

3. Avoid Contradictions... gk. Antithesis.... OPPOSITION

The Contradiction in context is HUMAN KNOWLEDGE

KJV— Science... Not 100% accurate

What Paul is saying... If it’s the world’s knowledge... It’s in opposition to GOD

Philippians 4:8 Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things.
