God Working In Us

Summary: God saves us by His mercy, then supplies us through His riches, and also strengthens us by His power.
GOD WORKING IN US
I ACCORDING TO HIS MERCY HE SAVES US
Titus 3:4-5 When God our Saviour revealed his kindness and love, He saved us, not because of the righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He washed away our sins, giving us a new birth and new life through the Holy Spirit. [NLT]
a. HIS MERCY IS PLENTIFUL
Psalm 86:15 You, O Lord, are a God merciful and gracious, slow to anger and abounding in mercy and loving-kindness and truth. [AMP]
b. HIS MERCY IS PROVISIONAL
Psalm 86:5 You, O Lord, are good, and ready to forgive our trespasses, sending them away, letting them go completely and forever. You are abundant in mercy and loving-kindness to all those who call upon You. [AMP]
II ACCORDING TO HIS RICHES HE SUPPLIES US
Philippians 4:19 And my God will liberally supply (fill to the full) your every need according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus. [AMP]
a. HE IS RICH IN NATURAL RESOURCES
Haggai 2:8 ‘The silver is mine and the gold is mine’, declares the LORD Almighty. [NIV]
Psalm 24:1 The earth is the LORD’s, and everything in it. The world and all its people belong to him. [NLT]
b. HE IS RICH IN SPIRITUAL RESOURCES
Ephesians 3:15-16 I pray that out of the glorious richness of his resources he will enable you to know the strength of the Spirit’s inner reinforcement - that Christ may actually live in your hearts by your faith. [NIV]
III ACCORDING TO HIS POWER HE STRENGTHENS US
Colossians 1:11-12 May you be strengthened with all power, according to His glorious might, for all endurance and patience, with joy 12 giving thanks to the Father, who has enabled you to share in the saints’ inheritance in the light. [Holman]
a. GOD’S POWER ESTABLISHES CREATION
Psalm 65:6 The God by whose strength the mountains are fixed; who is robed with power: [BBE]
b. GOD’S POWER ESTABLISHES CHRISTIANS
Romans 16:25 God is able to make you strong, just as the Good News says. It is the message about Jesus Christ and his plan for you Gentiles. [NLT]
Let us give glory to God! He is able to make you stand firm in your faith, according to the Good News I preach about Jesus Christ and according to the revelation of the secret truth which was hidden for long ages in the past. [GNB]
