VIII. MAIN BODY:
A. My GOD will supply our every need
"And my God will liberally supply (fill to the full) your every need"
1. The word "supply" is from the Greek word: "pleroo" meaning to "make replete", cram, furnish, fill to the full.
a. replete - completely filled, full
b. cram - to press or drive, particularly in filling or thrusting one thing to another, stuff, crowd, to thrust in by force.
c. furnish - to supply with anything wanted or necessary, to furnish a family with provisions, to furnish a table, to furnish one with money or implements, to supply with proper goods, to furnish a house or a room
d. fill to the full
2. GOD is the Filler, we are the vessel that He likes to fill to the full.
Psalms 84:11 (Amplified Bible)
For the Lord God is a Sun and Shield; the Lord bestows [present] grace and favor and [future] glory (honor, splendor, and heavenly bliss)! No good thing will He withhold from those who walk uprightly.
Proverbs 3:9-10 (Amplified Bible)
Honor the Lord with your capital and sufficiency [from righteous labors] and with the firstfruits of all your income;
So shall your storage places be filled with plenty, and your vats shall be overflowing with new wine.
2 Corinthians 9:8-11 (Amplified Bible)
And God is able to make all grace (every favor and earthly blessing) come to you in abundance, so that you may always and under all circumstances and whatever the need be self-sufficient [possessing enough to require no aid or support and furnished in abundance for every good work and charitable donation].
As it is written, He [the benevolent person] scatters abroad; He gives to the poor; His deeds of justice and goodness and kindness and benevolence will go on and endure forever!
And [God] Who provides seed for the sower and bread for eating will also provide and multiply your [resources for] sowing and increase the fruits of your righteousness [which manifests itself in active goodness, kindness, and charity].
Thus you will be enriched in all things and in every way, so that you can be generous, and [your generosity as it is] administered by us will bring forth thanksgiving to God.
3. Divine Supplies Promises:
2 Corinthians 8:15 (Amplified Bible)
As it is written, He who gathered much had nothing over, and he who gathered little did not lack.
Hebrews 4:16 (Amplified Bible)
Let us then fearlessly and confidently and boldly draw near to the throne of grace (the throne of God’s unmerited favor to us sinners), that we may receive mercy [for our failures] and find grace to help in good time for every need [appropriate help and well-timed help, coming just when we need it].
Mark 8:8 (Amplified Bible)
And they ate and were satisfied; and they took up seven [large provision] baskets full of the broken pieces left over.
Ezekiel 34:29 (Amplified Bible)
And I will raise up for them a planting of crops for renown, and they shall be no more consumed with hunger in the land nor bear the reproach of the nations any longer.
Isaiah 65:13 (Amplified Bible)
Therefore thus says the Lord God: Behold, My servants shall eat, but you shall be hungry; behold, My servants shall drink, but you shall be thirsty; behold, My servants shall rejoice, but you shall be put to shame.
Proverbs 10:3 (Amplified Bible)
The Lord will not allow the [uncompromisingly] righteous to famish, but He thwarts the desire of the wicked.
Psalms 34:9-10 (Amplified Bible)
O fear the Lord, you His saints [revere and worship Him]! For there is no want to those who truly revere and worship Him with godly fear.
The young lions lack food and suffer hunger, but they who seek (inquire of and require) the Lord [by right of their need and on the authority of His Word], none of them shall lack any beneficial thing.
Psalms 37:25 (Amplified Bible)
I have been young and now am old, yet have I not seen the [uncompromisingly] righteous forsaken or their seed begging bread.
