That’s right it’s a valentine

Why do we give valentine cards?

Abigail gave this one to me last year on Valentine’s Day and I have kept it in my office. We give Valentine’s to remind the person that we love them. Abigail gave this card to me to remind me how much she loves me. This is the reason we give someone a Valentine; to remind them how much we love them.

Did you know that god gave us a Valentine?

JN 3:16 "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

We learn four things from this verse

1. God loves you: God loves us so much. God has always loved you and will love you forever. The truth is that God’s love for us never changes.

2. God gave you His Son: God didn’t send you a card or candy. He sent us His one and only Son as an expression of His love for us

3. God wants you to believe: God’s deepest desire for you is that you would believe in His Son and live with Him forever.

4. God wants to give you everlasting life: God wants to give you a future with him in heaven. This is life that never ends.
