God Prepares Us Before This Day For This Day...

GOD PREPARES US BEFORE THIS DAY FOR THIS DAY…

2 Chronicles 16:9 For the eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to shew himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward him. Herein thou hast done foolishly: therefore from henceforth thou shalt have wars.

Psalm 75:6 For promotion cometh neither from the east, nor from the west, nor from the south. 7 But God is the judge: he putteth down one, and setteth up another.

GOD IS SEARCHING FOR A FRIEND… A RELATIONSHIP… ABRAHAM IS MIDDLE AGED (75)… NOW GO… GO… IT IS TIME TO BREAK ALL TIES WITH THE PAGAN RELIGIONS AND CULTURE TO FOLLOW THE ONE REAL GOD…

GOD HAS SOMETHING NEW FOR ABRAHAM AND SARAH. I WAS RAISED IN UR, MESOPOTAMIA… LEAVE YOUR FAMILY, LEAVE YOUR COUNTRY AND LEAVE YOUR PEOPLE FOR THE UNKNOWN? CAN YOU IMAGINE GOING TO THE U-HAUL TRUCK RENTAL STORE TO RENT A BIG U-HAUL TRUCK? GOD HAS A FRIEND NAMED ABRAHAM. GOD DESIRES TO BLESS ABRAHAM BUT GOD’S PLAN REQUIRES SEVERAL AREAS OF OBEDIENCE.

Genesis 12:1 Now the LORD had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and 2 And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing: 3 And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed. 4 So Abram departed, as the LORD had spoken unto him; and Lot went with him: and Abram was seventy and five years old when he departed out of Haran.

Abraham required faith, trust and courage to leave the known for the unknown. Abraham will be faithful in the midst of hard trials and temptations. God prepares Abraham for the upcoming blessings.

BY FAITH… BY BELIEVING… BY FAITH ABRAHAM AND SARAH ARE WILLING TO GO WHERE EVER GOD LEADS… ABRAHAM LEARNED HE WAS A PILGRIM, A STRANGER OF THE WORLD.

Our citizenship is not UR, it is not MESOPOTAMIA… The God of the universe wants to bless us and keep us. GOD IS PREPARING ME THIS DAY FOR THE DAY OF BLESSING…

Genesis 15:5 And he brought him forth abroad, and said, Look now toward heaven, and tell the stars, if thou be able to number them: and he said unto him, So shall thy seed be. 6 And he believed in the LORD; and he counted it to him for righteousness.

Sometimes you have to let go of what you have to receive the blessings. God’s plan was not UR, in Mesopotamia… There is a promise, give up what you know to receive a new land and a new nation. ABRAHAM, the covenant is about SEEDS… The promise is about offspring that would become the Jewish nation through his and Sarah’s son…His son Isaac... this seed will pass through many generations of famous people… RUTH the Moabitess, OBED, JESSIE, DAVID… the man after God’s own heart. WE KNOW THE SEED LEADS ALL THE WAY TO JESUS CHRIST THE SON OF GOD…

God will establish the covenant by circumcision on the eighth day. The preparation for the blessing is you have to leave what you know for the unknown. God promises: I WILL TAKE CARE OF YOU AND BLESS YOU… but you have to leave UR.

WHEN ABRAHAM LEFT UR THERE WAS A LONGING IN HIS HEART FOR MORE… THE GOAL WAS CLEAR: A FRIEND OF GOD… AN ETERNAL PERSONAL RELATIONSHIP…THERE IS MORE THAN JERUSALEM AND ISREAL… THERE IS A NEW JERUSALEM. GOD PREPARED ABRAHAM FOR A DAY TO COME…

Hebrews 11:10 For he looked for a city which hath foundations, whose builder and maker is God.

Hebrews 11:16 But now they desire a better country, that is, an heavenly: wherefore God is not ashamed to be called their God: for he hath prepared for them a city.

James 2:23 And the scripture was fulfilled which saith, Abraham believed God, and it was imputed unto him for righteousness: and he was called the Friend of God.

GOD PREPARED THE DEAF MAN FOR A DAY OF HEARING. JUST THINK ABOUT THE HEADLINES IN THE DECAPOLIS TIMES. DO WE THINK WE CAN DEFINE AND TELL GOD HOW TO PREPARE US FOR OUR MIRACLE? THINK AGAIN… GOD TENDS TO GET US READY FOR OUR MIRACLE IN SOME STRANGE WAYS… GOD HAS PREPARED THIS DAY FOR THIS HEALING.

LET US JOURNEY TO DECAPOLIS…. HERE IS A DEAF MAN? HOW SHALL WE GET HIM READY FOR THE OPENING OF HIS EARS? SPIT? JUST THINK ABOUT THE HEADLINES IN THE DECAPOLIS TIMES.
