Sermons

Summary: This Sermon reminds us of God’s ability to make our lives new regardless of our plight.

Introduction: God can make all things new. It doesn’t matter what your condition is in this life, God can make it new. No one is exempted from His life changing power. God has changed murderers and made them missionaries. He has made prostitues and pimps into preachers. He indeed, is the God of newness. Observe some things that God has made new in our lives:

A. A New Covenant.

B. A New Commandment.

C. A New Name.

D. A New Love.

E. A New Standing in Christ.

G. New Mercies

H. New Hope.

I. New Joy.

J. New Home in eternal glory.

Let’s consider the words of the text and their relevance to our lives tonight. This year has brought much pain and sorrow to many. But God has promised to make all things new to those who will accept His word.

The text teach us several thing:

I. THE SAMENESS OF EVERYTHING. (There is nothing new under the sun)

II. THE SUMMONS TO ATTENTION. (Behold)

III. THE SOURCE OF THE SUMMONS. (HE that sat upon the throne)

IV. THE STRENGTH OF THE MAKER. (HE makes)

V. THE SPHERE OF THE PROMISE. (All things)

VI. THE SETTLEMENT OF THE WORD. (HE said it)

VII. THE STEADFASTNESS OF THE LORD. (HE sat upon His Throne)

VIII. A SAMPLE OF ETERNAL GLORY. (All things new)

Conclusion: The New Year is only new in the imagination, but God can make it New in Reality.

May God Bless and Keep You
