INTRODUCTION:
A miracle is a supernatural intervention of God in the affairs of men, defying human reasoning and natural laws. It is the expression of God’s power and compassion, working beyond the limitations of men to bring divine results. We serve the God of miracles—a God who does wonders without number, and who delights in showing Himself strong on behalf of His children.
From Genesis to Revelation, the Bible reveals a God who turns impossibilities into testimonies. He parted the Red Sea, brought water from the rock, raised the dead, and made the barren fruitful. These were not myths; they were real interventions from the God of miracles. What He did before, He can do again!
The God of miracles has not changed. He is still performing wonders in our time. His miraculous acts are not random—they are the deliberate manifestations of His nature, His promises, and His glory. As we explore the God of miracles, prepare your heart to believe and receive divine intervention in every area of your life.
1. GOD’S NATURE IS MIRACULOUS
God does not just perform miracles; He is a miracle-working God by nature.
a) God Is Too Great for Natural Limitations (Exodus 15:11)
He is glorious in holiness, fearful in praises, doing wonders.
b) With God Nothing Shall Be Impossible (Luke 1:37)
His ability transcends the boundaries of human logic and possibility.
c) He Is the Creator of All Things (Genesis 1:1–3)
The One who created the universe can recreate any situation.
d) There Is Nothing Too Hard for Him (Jeremiah 32:27)
Your case is not too complicated for the God of miracles.
Biblical Example: God miraculously gave Abraham and Sarah a child in their old age (Genesis 21:1–2).
2. GOD WORKS MIRACLES TO BRING GLORY TO HIS NAME
Miracles are a demonstration of God’s power that causes men to glorify Him.
a) Jesus Turned Water into Wine at a Wedding (John 2:1–11)
This was His first miracle, and it revealed His glory.
b) God Uses Miracles to Confirm His Word (Mark 16:20)
Signs follow those who believe and preach the Gospel.
c) Miracles Inspire Worship and Awe (Matthew 14:33)
After Jesus calmed the storm, the disciples worshipped Him.
d) Miracles Draw People to God (Acts 9:33–35)
When Aeneas was healed, all who saw it turned to the Lord.
Biblical Example: The healing of the lame man at the Beautiful Gate led to multitudes believing in Christ (Acts 3:1–10).
3. MIRACLES HAPPEN THROUGH FAITH AND EXPECTATION
Miracles are received when we believe and expect divine intervention.
a) All Things Are Possible to Those Who Believe (Mark 9:23)
Your faith determines your experience of the miraculous.
b) Faith Moves the Hand of God (Matthew 9:28–30)
Jesus healed the blind men according to their faith.
c) Expectancy Attracts Divine Attention (Acts 3:5)
The lame man looked up, expecting something—and received more than he imagined.
d) Doubt Blocks Miracles (James 1:6–7)
Let not a double-minded person expect anything from the Lord.
Biblical Example: The woman with the issue of blood received her miracle through determined faith (Mark 5:25–34).
4. GOD’S MIRACLES CAN BREAK EVERY LIMITATION
No situation is too far gone for the miraculous touch of God.
a) He Makes a Way Where There Is No Way (Isaiah 43:19)
He specialises in impossible pathways and hopeless circumstances.
b) He Opens Doors No Man Can Shut (Revelation 3:8)
When God opens a door, no man or devil can close it.
c) He Turns Mourning into Dancing (Psalm 30:11)
God brings beauty out of ashes through His miraculous intervention.
d) His Miracles Bring Complete Restoration (Joel 2:25–26)
What has been lost for years can be restored in a moment.
Biblical Example: Lazarus was raised from the dead after four days—beyond human hope (John 11:38–44).
CONCLUSION:
The God we serve is still in the business of doing miracles. He is not limited by time, space, or resources. His power is supreme, and His compassion reaches the lowest pit. If you can believe, you will see the glory of God in your life. No matter the situation—sickness, lack, delay, or bondage—the God of miracles can bring a sudden turnaround.
Miracles are not for a select few; they are for all who dare to believe. Trust in the God of miracles. Call on Him in faith, and position yourself with expectancy. He is able, and He is willing.
