To give the assurance of God's ongoing transformative work in believers, the security of their salvation in Christ, and the anticipation of seeing Christ face to face.

Introduction

Good morning, church family! Isn't it just an incredible blessing to be gathered here today, as a community under Christ, sharing in His love and learning from His Word? We're going to dive into a compelling topic today: God’s Work in Our Lives, the Security of Our Salvation in Christ, and the Day We See Christ Face to Face.

Our guide for today's sermon is Philippians 1:6 which says, "being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus." Isn't that just something? That God, who initiated this wonderful work within us, won't stop until it's fully mature, continuing right up until Jesus returns!

C.S. Lewis, one of the most influential Christian writers of the 20th century, once wrote, "The Christian does not think God will love us because we are good, but that God will make us good because He loves us." Isn't that the perfect echo of our passage today?

Let's bow our heads and open our hearts in prayer. Dear Heavenly Father, thank you for the assurance of the work you are doing in us. As we delve into your Word today, enlighten our understanding, stir up our faith, and draw us closer to you. We are grateful for the security we have in Christ, and we yearn for the day we'll see Him face to face. In Jesus' name, we pray, Amen.
