VIII. MAIN BODY:

A. Man lies but GOD does not lie

"God is not a man, that He should tell or act a lie,"

We have this assurance, guarantee and reliance on the GOD that does not lie. Problem with man, man lies, and if you ever say, you don't lie, you have already lied to yourself and to people around you.

Lie or "kazab" in Hebrew meaning: liar, lie, lying

Lie (Webster Dictionary) - a criminal falsehood; a falsehood uttered for the purpose of deception; an intentional violation of truth. Fiction, or a false statement or representation, not intended to deceive, mislead or injure, as in fables, parables and the like, is not a lie.

1 Samuel 15:29 (Amplified Bible)

15:29 And also the Strength of Israel will not lie or repent; for He is not a man, that He should repent.

Romans 11:29 (Amplified Bible)

11:29 For God’s gifts and His call are irrevocable. [He never withdraws them when once they are given, and He does not change His mind about those to whom He gives His grace or to whom He sends His call.]

Titus 1:2 (Amplified Bible)

1:2 [Resting] in the hope of eternal life, [life] which the ever truthful God Who cannot deceive promised before the world or the ages of time began.

Lie is deception. It's telling something different from what you really intend to do.

Hebrews 6:18 (Amplified Bible)

6:18 This was so that, by two unchangeable things [His promise and His oath] in which it is impossible for God ever to prove false or deceive us, we who have fled [to Him] for refuge might have mighty indwelling strength and strong encouragement to grasp and hold fast the hope appointed for us and set before [us].

The GOD we worship and serve does not rise and fall, does not cast any shadow, because He's Spirit and we worship Him not in the flesh but in the Spirit. (spiritual methods; ie: going to church, praying, reading/meditating the bible, bringing tithes/offerings, ministry involvement, attendance in worship services/gathering/prayer meetings/fasting)

James 1:17 (Amplified Bible)

1:17 Every good gift and every perfect (free, large, full) gift is from above; it comes down from the Father of all [that gives] light, in [the shining of] Whom there can be no variation [rising or setting] or shadow cast by His turning [as in an eclipse].

B. Man repents but GOD does not repent

"neither the son of man, that He should feel repentance or compunction [for what He has promised]. Has He said and shall He not do it? Or has He spoken and shall He not make it good?"

Repent or "nacham" in Hebrew meaning:
