INTRODUCTION:

God’s justice is impartial, and He does not judge based on external appearances, wealth, status, or influence. The Scriptures emphasise that righteousness is rewarded, while wickedness invites judgment, regardless of a person’s position. Today's message will encourage believers to live uprightly, trusting that God honours the righteous and will deal with the wicked justly.

1. GOD’S IMPARTIALITY

a) God judges without favouritism: Romans 2:11 reveals that no one is exempt from God’s righteous standards.

b) Equal standards for all:

Acts 10:34-35 affirms that in every nation, those who fear God and work righteousness are accepted by Him.

c) God’s ways are just: Deuteronomy 32:4 declares that His work is perfect, and all His ways are just.

d) External appearances do not count:

1 Samuel 16:7 reminds us that God looks at the heart, not outward appearances.

e) Biblical Example: Cornelius, a Gentile, was accepted because of his righteousness and faith in God (Acts 10).

2. IT SHALL BE WELL WITH THE RIGHTEOUS

a) God’s promise of peace and prosperity:

Isaiah 3:10 assures the righteous that they will eat the fruit of their deeds.

b) Righteousness exalts a person:

Proverbs 14:34 states that righteousness lifts a nation or individual.

c) The righteous are preserved: Psalm 37:25 declares that the righteous are never forsaken.

d) God fights for the righteous: Psalm 34:17 assures that God delivers them from all troubles.

e) Biblical Example: Job’s righteousness brought him restoration and blessings despite his trials (Job 42:10).

3. WOE TO THE WICKED

a) The wicked shall not prosper: Proverbs 11:21 declares that the wicked will not go unpunished.

b) Judgment is sure: Isaiah 3:11 assures that it shall not be well with the wicked, no matter their status.

c) Wickedness brings destruction:

Proverbs 10:29 describes how the way of the Lord is a refuge for the upright but ruin for the wicked.

d) The end of the wicked is terrible:

Psalm 37:20 states they will perish like smoke.

e) Biblical Example: King Ahab’s wickedness led to his destruction despite his status (1 Kings 21:17-19).

CONCLUSION:

God’s impartiality assures us that righteousness is always rewarded and wickedness always judged. Let us live in reverence, knowing that God’s justice is unchanging. It will always be well with the righteous, but woe to the wicked, no matter their position in life.
