God is BIGGER
The Coronavirus Pandemic has suddenly become the worldwide main focus. This thing affects EVERYONE. It is the number one concern and topic of conversation. Because of the virus and potential spreading of that virus, tremendous masses of people are being quarantined or made to shelter in place.
That is as it should be. However, even with great sermons and messages from the most famous and popular preachers of the day, if we are honest, God is not at the top of concerns and responses in too many homes. Hundreds are dying every day. Everyday life for most of us has been changed drastically and may never be the same again.
Yes, people are praying. Yes, preachers are preaching. Yes, politicians are politicking. And yet the pandemic rages on. Do you suppose that God is not being seen as the ALL POWERFUL, MERCIFUL BIGGER THAN ALL OF THIS GOD THAT HE REALLY IS? The God that can revive dead dry bones in the desert, raise Lazarus from the dead, part the Red Sea, feed thousands from a couple of loaves of bread and a few fish, turn water into wine, etc. can wipe this virus out with a single gesture. God is a very jealous God and He will not take a back seat to anyone or anything.
“How long, O LORD? Will you be angry forever? Will your jealousy burn like fire?” Psalm 79:5
We must be ever proclaiming directly to God our love and loyalty to Him.
The pandemic is not an act from God. However, God is the means to overcome it.
“Almighty God, You are bigger than the Coronavirus Pandemic! You are more powerful than the Coronavirus Pandemic! We have not forgotten Your love nor your majesty. No matter where this pandemic takes us, we keep YOU first in our hearts and seek to glorify you, even in suffering and loss.”
