God Is Able.

TEXT: Daniel 3:16-18

"Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, answered and said to the king, O Nebuchadnezzar, we are not careful to answer thee in this matter. If it be so, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and he will deliver us out of thine hand, O king. But if not, be it known unto thee, O king, that we will not serve thy gods, nor worship the golden image which thou hast set up."

ARE YOU IN TROUBLE?

Are you passing through a challenging period in your life? Are you drowning in an ocean of trouble? Is your house or life on fire? Hold on fast to God, he will deliver you.

GOD IS WITH YOU

The three Hebrew children in our text today were in a life or death scenario. They had the opportunity to escape the fiery furnace but chose to believe and trust in the ability of God to deliver them. They were thrown into the fire, but God went into the fire and delivered them. The Almighty God promised in his word: "When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee" (Isa 43:2). God fulfilled his promise in the lives of these faithful youths. He will fulfill his promise in your life also, if you faithfully serve him. He said in his word that he will never leave or forsake you.

HAVE FAITH IN GOD

The three boys pleased God by displaying uncommon faith, they declared before the King: "If it be so, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and he will deliver us out of thine hand, O king." They were ready to die for their faith.

Whatever situation your are passing through, trust in the Lord, he is able to deliver his children from all afflictions and adversities of life. He allowed Shedrach, Meshach and Abednego to enter the fire so that his name will be glorified. Likewise, the Lord will use the challenge you are passing through to glorify his name in Jesus name. Are you in a raging inferno of trouble? Have faith; God, the Consuming fire is there with you to douse the flames and deliver you unscathed. Are you being tossed to and fro in the stormy sea of life? Have faith, the Prince of peace is there with you to calm the storms and deliver you unharmed. After God delivered David from the hand of Saul, he declared "...The LORD is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer (2 Sam 22:2). The Lord is a great deliverer, he will surely deliver you. You only need to display you faith in him because, "without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him" (Heb 11:6).

IT WILL END IN GLORY

God himself said: "...call upon me in the day of trouble: I will deliver thee, and thou shalt glorify me" (Psalms 50:15). He delivered Joshua, the high priest from the hand of Satan. He delivered the children of Israel from Pharaoh and the red sea. He delivered David from Goliath. He will deliver you also in Jesus name. You only need to call on him in your time of need.

You can only call upon God and receive an answer if you are his child. You can become one of his children if you accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and saviour. Why not do so today.

CONCLUSION

As you call upon God today, he will arise and answer you. He will deliver you from the fiery furnace of trouble. He will rescue you from the stormy seas of challenges. He will cause every giant standing between you and success to fall before you in Jesus name.

Our God is able to deliver his children. His name is Jehovah El - Shaddai, the Almighty God.

PRAYER:

Father, deliver me from all my troubles. Glorify your name in my life in Jesus name.

DECREE:

I am delivered, praise the Lord.
