Our prayers are a delight to the LORD our GOD. If we want to give the LORD delight or joy, pray more often.

Proverbs 15:8 (Amplified Bible)
15:8 The sacrifice of the wicked is an abomination, hateful and exceedingly offensive to the Lord, but the prayer of the upright is His delight!
Hearing is listening with focused attention. The LORD's eyes are upon us when He hears us, and His ears are ready and open for our cries.
Psalms 34:15-17 (Amplified Bible)
34:15 The eyes of the Lord are toward the [uncompromisingly] righteous and His ears are open to their cry.

Romans 8:26-27 (Amplified Bible)
8:26 So too the [Holy] Spirit comes to our aid and bears us up in our weakness; for we do not know what prayer to offer nor how to offer it worthily as we ought, but the Spirit Himself goes to meet our supplication and pleads in our behalf with unspeakable yearnings and groanings too deep for utterance.
8:27 And He Who searches the hearts of men knows what is in the mind of the [Holy] Spirit [what His intent is], because the Spirit intercedes and pleads [before God] in behalf of the saints according to and in harmony with God’s will.
James 5:16-18 (Amplified Bible)
5:16 Confess to one another therefore your faults (your slips, your false steps, your offenses, your sins) and pray [also] for one another, that you may be healed and restored [to a spiritual tone of mind and heart]. The earnest (heartfelt, continued) prayer of a righteous man makes tremendous power available [dynamic in its working].
5:17 Elijah was a human being with a nature such as we have [with feelings, affections, and a constitution like ours]; and he prayed earnestly for it not to rain, and no rain fell on the earth for three years and six months.
5:18 And [then] he prayed again and the heavens supplied rain and the land produced its crops [as usual].
1 Peter 3:12 (Amplified Bible)
3:12 For the eyes of the Lord are upon the righteous (those who are upright and in right standing with God), and His ears are attentive to their prayer. But the face of the Lord is against those who practice evil [to oppose them, to frustrate, and defeat them].
Example of earnest and righteous prayer is Elijah:
What Elijah did was just declared GOD's WORDS.
1 Kings 17:1 (Amplified Bible)
17:1 ELIJAH THE Tishbite, of the temporary residents of Gilead, said to Ahab, As the Lord, the God of Israel, lives, before Whom I stand, there shall not be dew or rain these years but according to My word.
IX. CONCLUSION:
We declare desired things in our prayers.
Proverbs 18:21 (Amplified Bible)
18:21 Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and they who indulge in it shall eat the fruit of it [for death or life].
Matthew 12:37 (Amplified Bible)
12:37 For by your words you will be justified and acquitted, and by your words you will be condemned and sentenced.
Praise, worship and thank You very much LORD JESUS for You have given us a tongue lead and guided by the HOLY SPIRIT that have power and authority over circumstances and we use our tongue to pray in tongues or with the understanding.
