Summary: It seems like so many of God's people are unsure of what God would want from them. In this short sermon outline are some of God's wonderful promises of what He wants for us. Remember that God's Will is God's Word and that God's Word is God's perfect will for your life.
God's Plan for Your Life!
It seems like so many of God's people are unsure of what God would want from them. In this short sermon outline are some of God's wonderful promises of what He wants for us. As you consider these promises remember that God's Will is God's Word and that God's Word is God's perfect will for your life.
Jeremiah 29:11 (KJV) For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.
(I like the NIV translation as well, Jeremiah 29:11 (NIV) For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.)
I. God's plans for you are precious. Why? because your are precious in His sight.
1 Peter 2:9 But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:
A. None of His plans are evil. God is good and so: James 1:17 Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.
1. When God bolts the door, don't try to get in through the window. The will of God never will lead you where the grace of God cannot keep you.
II. He wants you to have Peace.
John 14:27 Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
A. Peace that Jesus gives is not the absence of trouble, but is rather the confidence that He is there with you always.
1. Safety consists not in the absence of danger but in the presence of God.
III. His plan for you is when you pray and call on Him, He will listen .
Jeremiah 29:12 Then shall ye call upon me, and ye shall go and pray unto me, and I will hearken unto you.
IV. His plan is when you look for Him you will be able to find Him.
A. But you have to seek him with a pure heart.
Jeremiah 29:13 And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.
V. Every one can find Him, if we are willing. I close this with two wonderful scriptures to consider, rejoice and receive from the God who has perfect plans and a perfect will for your life.
John 6:37 All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out.
Romans 8:14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.
