Summary: Who owns everything?

Do we see God’s ownership of everything around us? Do we see His handiwork everywhere now and will we see Him literally in eternity? Let’s begin in Psalm 24.

Who is the real owner of the entire planet upon which we live?

The earth is the Lord’s, and all its fullness, The world and those who dwell therein. For He has founded it upon the seas, And established it upon the waters. (Ps 24:1-2 NKJV)

Who may enter the place where God lives? What are their character traits?

Who may climb the mountain of the Lord? Who may stand in his holy place? Only those whose hands and hearts are pure, who do not worship idols and never tell lies. They will receive the Lord’s blessing and have a right relationship with God their savior. Such people may seek you and worship in your presence, O God of Jacob. Interlude (Ps 24:3-6 NLT)

Is Yahweh, often translated as “the Lord,” the king of glory? Will we welcome Him when He comes?

Lift up your heads, you gates! Be lifted up, you everlasting doors, and the King of glory will come in. Who is the King of glory? Yahweh strong and mighty, Yahweh mighty in battle. Lift up your heads, you gates; yes, lift them up, you everlasting doors, and the King of glory will come in. Who is this King of glory? Yahweh of Armies is the King of glory! Selah. (Ps 24:7-12 WEB)

Do the pure hearted see God’s handiwork throughout creation and in our very imperfect churches even now? Will they see him literally in eternity?

Happy are people who have pure hearts, because they will see God. (Mat 5:8 CEB)

Do we see God’s ownership of everything around us? Do we see His handiwork everywhere now and will we see Him literally in eternity? You decide!
