Summary: We sometimes wonder, is this situation hard for God? Yet the Bible declares His omnipotence and proclaims His loving, saving presence.

Go! And Trust the God Who Can Do All Things

Introduction – Setting the Scene

Have you ever faced a situation so overwhelming that you felt there was no way through it?

A diagnosis that shatters your peace… a bill you cannot pay… a relationship that seems beyond repair.

In those moments, we may not say it out loud, but deep down, we sometimes wonder—is this too hard for God?

God Himself asked this very question in Jeremiah 32:27: "I am the LORD, the God of all the peoples of the world. Is anything too hard for me?" (NLT)

That’s not a question of doubt—it’s a question of divine assurance.

And in Zephaniah 3:17, we read:

"For the LORD your God is living among you. He is a mighty saviour. He will take delight in you with gladness. With his love, he will calm all your fears. He will rejoice over you with joyful songs." (NLT)

These two verses stand like pillars—one declaring God’s omnipotence, the other proclaiming His loving, saving presence.

1. God’s Power – "Is Anything Too Hard for Me?" (Jeremiah 32:27)

Jeremiah wrote these words during one of Judah’s darkest hours. The Babylonian army surrounded Jerusalem. The people’s hearts were hard. Judgment was certain. Yet in the middle of chaos, God reminded Jeremiah—and us—of His absolute sovereignty.

The word "hard" in Hebrew is ?????? (pala?)—meaning “wonderful, extraordinary, surpassing.” It’s the same root used in Psalm 139:14: "I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made." God is not saying, “Is this difficult for me?” but rather, “Is there anything so extraordinary that I cannot accomplish it?”

Genesis 18:14 – "Is anything too hard for the LORD? I will return about this time next year, and Sarah will have a son." God fulfilled His promise to Abraham and Sarah despite human impossibility.

Luke 1:37 – "For nothing is impossible with God." Gabriel assures Mary that the virgin birth of Jesus is God’s work.

If God can create galaxies by His word, split seas, and raise the dead—your situation is not an obstacle to Him. It is an opportunity for His glory to be displayed.

Charles Stanley said, "When God gives you a vision, He will give you the provision."

We often measure God’s ability by our resources, but God measures by His own infinite power.

A man once watched a silversmith purifying silver. The craftsman heated the metal until the impurities rose to the surface. The observer asked, “How do you know when it’s pure?” The silversmith replied, “When I can see my reflection.”

God sometimes allows the heat of trial—not because He cannot deliver us instantly—but because He is shaping us until His reflection is seen in us.

2. God’s Presence – "The LORD Your God is Living Among You" (Zephaniah 3:17)

Zephaniah prophesied during the reign of Josiah. His message began with warnings of judgment but ended with this glorious promise of restoration. God is not distant—He is present, active, and rejoicing over His people.

"Mighty Saviour" comes from ???????? (gibbor), meaning “strong warrior.”

"Rejoice" is ????? (gil), which literally means “to spin around in delight.” God’s joy over His redeemed people is exuberant!

Matthew 28:20 – "And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age."

Nothing can separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus.

Romans 8:38–39 (NLT): And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love. No power in the sky above or in the earth below—indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord.

God is not simply aware of your struggles—He is with you in them. He fights for you. He sings over you. He calms your fears not with empty words, but with His own love.

Max Lucado wrote, "If God had a refrigerator, your picture would be on it."

That’s not sentimental fluff—it’s biblical truth. God delights in His children.

Picture a parent watching their child take their first steps. Every wobble is met with smiles and encouragement. That’s how your Heavenly Father sees you—delighting in your progress, steadying you when you fall, cheering you on as you grow in faith.

3. God’s Salvation – The Mighty Saviour

Jeremiah and Zephaniah’s words point forward to Jesus—the ultimate display of God’s power and love.

The Gospel in Full:

Jesus came – Fully God, fully man, He lived a sinless life we could not live.

Jesus died – On the cross, He bore our sin, our shame, and our punishment.

Jesus was buried – A sealed tomb testified to His death.
