Glorious Day (Living He Loved Me)
A sermon from the hymn ‘Glorious Day'. The song was going over and over in my mind and I felt a sermon coming on. Trust the Word blesses you as it blesses me.
I. Living, He loved me. John 3:16 (KJV) For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
II. Dying, He saved me. 1 Corinthians 15:3 (KJV) For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;
III. Buried, He carried my sins far away. Psalms 103:12 (KJV) As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us.
IV. Rising, He justified freely forever. Colossians 2:14-15 (KJV) 14 Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross; 15 And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it.
V. One day He's coming. Revelation 22:20 (KJV) He which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus.
VI. Oh glorious day, oh glorious day. Thessalonians 4:16-17 (KJV) 16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: 17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
WHAT AT DAY THAT WILL BE WHEN WE SEE JESUS!
1 John 3:2 (KJV) Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.
