Summary: There is something about the deep that carries with it mystery, a freedom. What I am talking about is thrusting yourself into a deep relationship with God.
Intro: Today I want to talk to you about “Getting in Deep”! From these 7 verses I can hear a prophetic utterance from the Lord that He is looking for some deep water believers. There is something about the deep that carries with it mystery, a freedom. What I am talking about is thrusting yourself into a deep relationship with God. 1Co 2:10 But God hath revealed [them] unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God. (9) But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. In Psalms 92:5 the Lord’s thoughts are described as deep. For many of you; you have spent your time in the shallow seeking after those things in the deep.
I. Now is not the time to wash our nets!
A. We cannot give up and come to a place of defeat.
B. Fear and doubt will challenge faith and hope.
II. At His Word.
A. We must listen and obey the voice of the Lord.
B. There needs to be an expectancy, which comes from faith and hope.
Hab 2:3 For the vision [is] yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.
Col 1:27 To whom God would make known what [is] the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:
III. Deep Waters!
A. In the deep is our freedom.
B. We have longed for the miracles of the Bible it is here in the deep we can find them. It takes us from a comfort zone to a faith place.
Conclusion : In Ezekiel 47:2-6; Ezekiel is shown some waters, and is taken out til the waters come to his ankles, then his knees, then to his loins or waist, and his taken out to the deep waters, waters that cover and must be swam.
